It depends on what you have in the cell. If you have a long string of text, it will simply copy that text to the other cells. If you have a date, Excel will fill in the copied cells with sequential dates. Example: dragging a cell containing the date 1/1/2014 will result in 1/2/2014 in the next cell, then 1/3/2014 in the following cell, etc etc. If this is for homework, I hope you take the time to learn Excel, rather than just asking for people on YA to do it for you. Many many jobs require the use of Excel.
