One scene I remember distinctly is when you find out that the father knows of the daughter's birthmark or mole, and it meant that he actually did sleep with her although it is never shown and only hinted at in the movie. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL is an insanely good movie. It's about a father who tries to protect his young son in the concentration camps. This movie is both funny and moving. In Saw 2, a cop's son is kidnapped and subjected to Jigsaw's "game". Not as warm of a movie, and the father-son connection isn't really that touching. And the new Angelina Jolie movie "Changeling" is about a mother's son who is missing and years later she gets contacted that her son was found, but when she meets him, she realizes that that isn't her son. Sorry not a father-son one, but sounds good and angelina is tough enough to be a papa. In American History X, Edward Norton protects his little brother from the gangsta life that he was in before.
