Best way to get dog piddle odor and stains out of carpet?
Pour this stuff called approach right on the stain. It will help get rid of the stain, but more importantly it will completely eliminate the odor (which is what triggers the dogs to pee there). We had the exact same problem with our dog Sophie when we were housebreaking her. Pour the stuff on the stain, pour it on your carpet cleaners and spray the air to get rid of the odor in the air. there are no harsh chemicals (or any chemicals in fact) so if the dogs sniff it or lick the spot it wont' hurt them at all. Worked on my dog like a charm. Should be easy to use. Good luck!

What do you put on dry dog skin?

That actually is his penis, a dog's penis is housed inside what you actually think his penis is. Sometimes dogs get excited and it pops out to say hey! it's totally normal...however....if it doesn't go back it, that can be a problem. Try putting a cold pack on it for a minute or two if it hasn't 'retreated' after 15-20 minutes and if it still doesn't go back it, he should be seen by a vet. they can get hair rings around it which will make it hang out, which then leads to dryness and trauma.

First off, a general cleaner with an antibacterial agent is in order (409, clorox with bleach, etc.). Use something non-abrasive if your floor has a shiny finish on it. If you are still dealing with an odor, try Pine-Sol or something similar. Method makes a great all-purpose cleaner that you can use on your floor, and smells fabulous. You can find scents that aren't available in most cleaners (such as lemon, orange, or the sort). If you are leery of using something in fear of damaging your floor, test a small spot in an unconspicuous area. I hope you find something that works, and good luck with the pups!
Can I put hand lotion on my dog's paws?
not a good idea. Vaseline, Utter cream (sometimes called bag balm and is sold in some pharmacies in a green tin), zinc cream and polysporin will all help with dryness. Yes it is normal for their pads to be a little rough but it should not be flaking. and you should be able to run your finger over it lightly with out it getting snagged on the skin. A lot of dogs have overly dry pads and the best thing to do is buy boots for the winter and put cream (either one of those i have mentioned or vet recomended stuff at least a few times week. A change in diet can also help or even just adding extra oil to their food. Cod liver oil is really good for them. If you are buying a cheap grocery brand food try going to the petstore and getting a high quality brand. You get what you pay for with bagged foods.
