Cutting jeans into shorts?

Generally I would suggest using scissors, in my expierience they work well. However i have heard in the past that using a swordfish to trim them back gives a much more scraggly look which is very cool. Or you could put them in the fire and extinguish them at you desired length this method of course requires adult supervision.

Does beer stain jeans?

I just spilled beer on my jeans like 2 minutes ago. Is the beer going to stain them? the Jeans are very faded in color.

Will red ball point pen come out of my favorite jeans?

Relax, it will come out. Keep it wet if you can, if not no worries. Cheap dollar store hair spray will loosen it right up. Whatever you do- DO NOT put the jeans in the dryer until the stain is gone! The heat of the dryer will set it almost permanently. You can use any number of spot stain removers available in the laundry detergent isle of any grocery store. Just follow the instructions and again, do not dry them until the ink is gone. But all & all just relax. Even in the worst case scenario, even if you heat dry it, this is denim we are talking about. Denim is seriously tough. Just wash and wear as usual and the denim will long outlast the stain. No matter what you do, if you just keep wearing them around the house and washing them as usual the stain will eventually wash away.

Why do our jeans have a tiny pocket just above the front pocket? Was it something useful that was added or is it just a fashion thing?

In fact that little pocket is a standard feature on all man's trousers. As Nitin Sachdev said, it's for a watch. However, most of his explanation of the origin of the pocket is just plain wrong. The correct name for it is a fob pocket. This is because the chain that pocket watches were usually attached to is a fob chain, and so the alternative name for a pocket watch is a fob watch. See the pattern emerging? It has been a feature of menswear for as long as the fob watch has existed. And, has anyone noticed that the size of that pocket is the same as the size of he pocket on a waistcoat? That's because the fob was originally worn on the waistcoat, so the pockets were made to fit the standard fob watch. As the people who had watches broadened, many did not wear waistcoats, and so the pocket was incorporated into the trousers. So, in actual fact, the little fob pocket has been a feature of men's trousers for much longer than Levi jeans. Its inclusion had absolutely nothing to do with protecting someone's watch, nor did it have anything at all to do with anything "cowboys" did or did not do, since the original target market for Levi's trousers was the gold miners.

What is appropriate to wear to a staff meeting for RNs in a hospital?

I started off thinking I needed to wear business-casual to staff meetings. Then I noticed the other nurses would wear jeans and sweatshirts and it really was a casual environment. I'd wear business-casual (not full-on job interview clothes, just pants that are not jeans or sweatpants and a shirt that isn't a t-shirt or sweatshirt). If your coworkers show up more casual, then you know it's ok for next time.
