What Kind Of Timberland Boots Are These

Do Timberland boots run big?

For the most part Timberland boots should fit as expected. Their Pro series is just a bit wider but not overall bigger where I would be concerned to order a size smaller. To better answer your question this depends on your foot and how you prefer to wear your boots. Since these are mostly for construction and other labor intensive jobs it is recommend that they don't fit exact and super tight but rather you need to have some wiggle room. You need to be comfortable walking in your work boots all day.I really like Timberlands because they are very durable. At the same time these are the most comfortable work boots that I have owned because they are made from leather and they have a flexible and sturdy sole. Their insoles are also comfortable and most of them are removable in case you want to exchange them for prescription or more expensive gel insoles. If you have wide feet Timberlands might not be the best option for you. However there are many high quality brands that cater to people with wider feet. If you usually wear regular and not wide for your other shoes then I would go with the same size for Timberland boots.I hope you found my answer helpful!Choosing the right work boots is hard but I guarantee you once you find the right pair you will stay with that brand forever. Here is a great review of the best work boots.

I need a chain for my timberland's boots!?

Well, i think the title explains it all but recently i have brought some timberland's boots and have approved that it is real by doing multiple research and checking codes and etc BUT the problem is, it came with the Tag, the thing that hangs around the sole of your timberland boots but it had no chain attached to it!?

Look at this picture for example: http://www.google.com/imgres?q=timberland&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1280&bih=867&tbm=isch&tbnid=rGFlv9tD-Ufq2M:&imgrefurl=http://www.freshnessmag.com/2010/10/08/ronnie-fieg-x-timberland-6-fur-lined-classic-boots/&docid=z3zXtQuH1pHE3M&imgurl=http://images.freshnessmag.com/wp-content/uploads//2010/10/timberland-6-fur-lined-classic-boots-01.jpg&w=570&h=450&ei=GporUcfqK4q09QTrqIC4DA&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,i:267&iact=rc&dur=386&sig=117860311058963416539&page=2&tbnh=183&tbnw=253&start=20&ndsp=25&tx=106&ty=89

you can see the small chain and the tag attached to the sole but mines came without the small chain......Now i was wondering where can i buy this small chain and whats the name of this small chain because i cannot find it anywhere.....

How is the quality of Timberland boots? Can you compare it with Caterpillar and Columbia?

I work in the waste industry and this is an overall opinion from multiple workers. Cat hands down, and not because our machines are all caterpillars either. Only boot to last a whole year in all the harsh corrosive chemicals and terrain. Especially with the 200+ pounders out there. Timberland pros and colombia build quality disintegrates in about 6–8 months under these conditions and they dont come cheap (180 a pop depending on size). If your not looking for a work pair and just for show, then any of these will do just fine for years to come and timberland isnt your only option for a great set of good looking boots…Exhibit A B and C:A.B.C.Current pair… heading onto 2 1/2 years, going to clean and re-lace and hope for the 3 year mark! Thanks for reading my first post!Im not a writer, author, teacher, or hold a pen very often so please excuse any and all errors, all criticism is welcome.

What is the best way to clean my Timberland nubuck boots.?

no unless ur boots are all leather, the kind you wipe off! you have nubuck so you will have to go and get suede cleaner, which u can purchase at any foot locker, champs, etc...that should do the trick, and then buy you some water protectant as well, because if you have these nubuck boots, youll want to make sure that the water stains dont set in if you are out in the rain...eventually the water will just roll right off! :)

Do people actually wear Timberland boots for hiking?

Yes, but they have become largely obsolete for that specific purpose as hikers today move lighter and faster and all of their gear choices have responded in kind. The iconic Timberland 10061 model was first created in 1973 at a time when most hiking boots were made from very thick leather and had a stiff welted (stitched) construction. To keep hiking boots of that era waterproof, they would have to be regularly treated with silicone or similar user applied waterproofing treatments and would often still leak where the sole had been stitched to the upper materials. The innovation of the Timberland boot boot was twofold, first the >2mm thick leather was impregnated with silicone directly and was therefore inherently waterproof. It was seam sealed on the backside of the few stitched seams. Secondly, the rubber sole was attached to the leather upper, not by stitching (in a waterproof shoe, any holes are problematic) but by a direct injection process. In this process the “glue” (a chemical polymer) which bonded the upper to the sole was also the midsole cushioning. It sealed all the typical seams at the bottom of the upper construction creating a lighter, more cushioned, inherently waterproof boot right out of the box. They were excellent hiking boots in their day. Largely more comfortable than what was available at the time. The difference now is that most hiking shoes today are essentially taller and more durable sneakers. And that fulfills most people’s needs. Including a Goretex or similar waterproof membrane can keep your feet dry.Almost nothing has changed between the 1973 boot and today’s version. The boot remains iconic because it was a serious piece of innovation. But as today’s hikers have looked to more modern lightweight and flexible shoes, Timberlands live on as a fashionable piece of Americana.

How long will a pair of timberland boots last?

I don’t know what the specific model is called, but think traditional Timberlands.I am, as I type wearing a pair that I bought in 1990. They’ve been worn summer and winter, through all sorts of terrain, and been variously covered in mud, sea water, snow, and dog slobber.I clean them, well, sometimes. The only thing that is not original is the laces. They still look good, are functional, haven’t worn away on the soles too much, and still repel water.I wish I could claim their longevity is down to my careful and dedicated maintenance of them, but it’s not. It’s down to their good construction.Way back in 1990, these cost me £125, which was a lot of money back then, but they were, and are, a sound investment.
