Hot pink prom dress, what makeup to do?
You can do a smokey eye with silvers and greys. It doesn't have to be a harsh black eye. I would stray away from mixing in bright colours especially pinks. Pink eyeshadow tends to bring out the redness in your skin as well as the redness in your eyes. People with cool skin tones can pull it off, but most people cannot. You can also do some natural browns but you want to stand out in pictures and have it last the night. You can try a bronzey eye with dark brown eyeliner. The focus is on your dress, but it's also on your eyes and hair. This is your night, and this is a night you will remember. If you do something super light and natural, you'll look back and wish your eyes stood out more - trust me, I know. I did the makeup for my friends and did mine last minute. Last minute meant put on as much makeup as I can in 5 minutes and hope it looks good. I wish I did mine first and then did makeup for my friends because my dress was beautiful, my hair was dyed, curled, and pinned at a salon... but my makeup... Eh. You don't have to buy black accessories to match a smokey eye. You would have to buy black accessories if your dress had black rhinestones or something on it. My only warning is not to go BLACK for your smokey eye. Makeup for Prom????
what I would do is go to one of your gal friend who wears make-up on a regular basis (well i might add) and ask her to help you get your make-up ready for prom. But if you don't have any friends that wear make-up I would just put a nutreal color eye shadow on just something or a light shimmer. and a little bit of eye liner and mascara. and if you want something on your lips try a "nude color" lip stick or lip gloss. this way your wearing make-up but its more of a natural look. And if you need to wear cover up, but since you don't usually wear make-up you probably don't need it. but if you do make sure you get one that is the right color for you! (try cover girls true blend) -but yes wear a lil bit of make-up its a special occassion why not? right? -coverup=about 8-12$ for cover girl (good brand) -eye liner= you can get eye liner for about 1 or 2$ -eye shadow= about 3 dollars its really not that much money for make-up thats actually cheap for make-up. I'm asian to.....like I said if this is your first time using make-up just keep it natural and light ur nutral colors. but if you don't want to do something bold I suggest a gold eye shadow. Prom makeup for my turquoise dress?
I agree with Khushi. Cream and brown eye shadows will go nicely with a teal dress. The last thing you want to do is match eye shadow with your dress, which looks very tacky! A nice cream color on your lid, with a deep brown in the crease, and a shimmery champagne on your tear ducts and brow bones will look gorgeous. Since you want your eyes to really pop, take a black liquid or gel liner and line your upper lash line, winging it out slightly to accentuate the shape of your eyes. I also suggest wearing false lashes. They make ALL the difference and will really make your eyes the focal point of your look. If you don't want to wear falsies, just be sure to load up on black mascara. For your cheeks and lips, I suggest juicy coral and peach tones. They will look gorgeous against your brown skin. Try a deep coral blush and some pretty coral lip gloss! Just as a tip, be sure not to skip face powder for your prom night! You need your makeup to stay flawless all night! Have fun!
Makeup tips: purple prom dress...?
I have dark brown hair that will be in a sort of side ponytail curled and its long. my skin is from olive to fair ish. my dress is "grape juice" according to the tag but its a jewel purple to describe it better. what makeup should i use? i have brown eyes> so maybe browns/plums to accent that or should i use light metallic golds or champagnes..any help/tips appreciated. come up with any ideas, thanks =]
