Which Premier League team should I support?
So I'm an American and I watch MLS (yeah I know people tend to think the league is weak but it's all we've got) but I figured it's time to try and throw emotional support behind a Premier League team. I want to watch a team that has a chance to win but isn't Man U or Chelsea. My preferences: - I'm not a bandwagon fan in any sports over here so I couldn't do it there. - I wouldn't mind the team being in a cool city that would be nice to visit one day. - Also I know there's a few good American players in the EPL but I try not to base my team over one player and I'd like for the team to be accepting of Americans haha. - A club that has a chance at success but not a team that's the equivalent to Barcelona and Real Madrid in La Liga where they just beat everyone all the time. So far I've looked into Arsenal, Liverpool, Fulham, Everton, and Man City but I'm open to any club. Weird way to try to pick a team, but with the upcoming season approaching I'm going to try to follow it from week 1. I know a lot of people will just say their favorite team haha but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thoughts?
What Premier League team should I support?
I think u shouldn't be asking for an opinion. Everyone will be siding the club they support. In the end, it's up to urself. Choke urself up with a weekend of EPL matches and see which team attracts u the most. Some people likes counter-attacking squads, some like set pieces teams, some likes wing plays, some likes total football. In the end its all up to u. All i can say is, (1) Support Liverpool and u may be angry almost 50% of the time as Liverpool doesn't always end up winning. Look at where they are in league for the past few years. PLUS, they are about to lose their valuable GK, Pepe Reina. (2) Support Man City and u may suffer the wrath of Man United supporters who loves to rub it in its neighbour's face. Plus, with Balotelli and Tevez antics, MC has a problematic player each year and it may cause unrest. (3) Support Chelsea and all u get is all kind of styles of play cuz the manager keeps changing. The good thing is of course u wont complain much abt the manager cuz the owner can juz fire managers anyhow. (4) Support MU and u will be against the world. MU has dominated the league over the past 2 decades and are always title contenders at the end of the season. As a result, the EPL has always seen the title race goes down the wire between MU-Arsenal, MU-Chelsea, MU-MC. Somehow Fergie knows the formula for success.But remember that u will remain to be a target by all other clubs especially Liverpool just because United overtaken them for the total number of EPL/1st division title. There u have it the few big teams. My advice is just enjoy all games and pickup the team u love watching most. Cheers.
Which Premier League team should I support?
I used to love watching the Premier League a few years ago, but since then I've lost interest due to the Big 4 dominance. At the time I was a Liverpool fan, but I don't really feel any connection to them anymore - and feel like I need to start fresh so I remain interested for the entire season. My Dad was a Tottenham fan, so I am considering them. But I feel like I need to support a club who is guaranteed to be competitive, because if they fall to the bottom of the table, I'll probably lose interest again and get bored with the Big 4 circle. So who would be a good choice? The Spurs? I'm also considering Aston Villa and Manchester City. I like the idea of supporting a team outside of the Big 4, as it will feel a lot more genuine (if you know what I mean). Thanks!
