Is a 12,000 AED per month salary in UAE (Dubai) reasonable for a senior software engineer from India, with 4-5 years' experience? Could a family of two survive on this salary? Can he save anything after monthly expenses? Is it a good offer?
As per My Calculation 1BHK is AED 5K monthly in a decent vicinity. your new car needs minimum of AED 2K monthly incl : monthly installment, Fuel, parking.you already left over with 5K in its you will spend 3k for other expenses. you will hardly save 2K AED. Its a serious Joke more than half of a senior person earning goes to accommodation and transportation. so, you can ask for an accomodation by company at least :)

let me break it down to u salary = 12000 house is 20000 pa = aprox 1666aed pm internet and tv = abt 350 cellphone u can get a plan with du which is abt 100aed per month but if u talk a lot it could go up to 300 transportation without a car abt 1500 with taxi...by metro and bus would be way less...i pay 400-500 aed a month for petrol if u can cook and u do ur own food u will spend abt 1000 on food if deliveries depending where u order from anywhere between 1500-2000..lets say if for personal spending if u dont over spend on going out and u hold out a bit...ull spend anywhere between 2500 - 3000 so all in all, i think u can easily save up at least 5000-6000 and depending how much u spend..u can save up even more Keep note that i didnt mention buying a car since..i dunno whether u r provided with 1 or not...and i didnt mention the commission in ur salary because that is a variable Hope i helped
