What Should I Do On Magic Launcher It Says Minecraft.jar Not Found At The Top

How do I install Minecraft mods on a Mac?

If you're wondering how to install Minecraft mods on a Mac, check out this video tutorial I made! It goes over everything you need to know to go about installing mods on a Mac. Hopefully this helps![Easy] How to Install Mods on a Mac - Minecraft 1.10

What are some good Minecraft modpacks for beginners?

First of all, you’ll want a launcher. As Sahil pointed out, Curse is a good launcher to start with. Once you’ve installed it, you’ll want to go to the settings, and allocate at least 4gb RAM to minecraft, and ensure you have 64bit Java7/8. Modded minecraft tends to use a ton of memory. Now you’ll just need to install modpacks! I suggest Agrarian Skies 2, because it has a mod called Hardcore Questing Mode, which acts as a tutorial. To find the pack, you’ll want to hit the minecraft tab on the left side of the launcher, then click “Get new modpacks”. There’ll be a search bar there. Also, here are some tips that should make the learning curve a lot nicer (regardless of what modpack you’re playing):USE NEI! You’ll see it when you hit ‘e’ to look in your inventory. If you need to craft something and don’t have the recipe, search up the item, hover over it, and hit ‘r’. There are literally thousands of crafting recipes that you will never be able to memorize. If you don’t see NEI, hit ‘o’ while in the inventory menuIf you have any questions, there’s a much bigger community on Reddit than here on quora. /r/feedthebeast.Inside the ‘mods’ folder in the modpack directory, you’ll find all your mods (.jar files). For most mods, you can just drop them into this folder.Inside the ‘config’ folder in the modpack directory, you’ll find all the configuration files pertaining to each mod. Use these to customize your gameplayHave fun!

Is there anything like technic launcher for minecraft that has mods installed into it?

No, there is not.

Minecraft keeps closing out, I use only a few mods, how do I stop it?

have you tried turning the mods off and not using Magic Launcher? You didnt say any of that so I had to ask. If you havent, then turn the mods off one at a time until it works. Turn both mods off and try magic launcher. if that doesnt work, dont use magic launcher and try again.

This will let you track down the exact cause of the problem. From there, helping you will be much easier.

Edit: First, yeah thats how people generally respond to follow ups. But yeah, I looked and this seems to be a widespread problem! For various reasons, that launcher causes odd crashes and hangups... The best I can offer you really, is a guide to doing a clean install of both the launcher and minecraft itself:

http://www.skydaz.com/fixing-minecraft-black-screen-how-to-clean-and-reset-minecraft/

this isnt directly related to your problem, but its how you go about getting a clean instal. It seems to be the only thing that resolves the issue. I also heard that manually installing shader mods doesnt result in the crashing you described. you'd have to check the mod's documentation for how to do that though.

Won't let me extract zip file to jar file... Help?

When i tried this with my minecraft i used this:
Download winrar, open minecraft.jar with that, than open zip with mod with winrar and copy everything from mod zip into minecraft.jar. It usually worked for me. But if i could recommend something, it's magic launcher. This nice program can help you with adding mods without causing mess inside miecraft.jar and it also allows you to have numerous modded minecrafts separately. I am using that program without problem.

P.S.: maybe you minecraft.jar is checked as readable ony.
