What's a good type of skateboard?
I just got really into skateboarding but my old board sucks, it's wheels are really cheap rough plastic, it's really squeaky, and doesn't loosen up no matter how much I use it or loosen it. So I need a new one and I have some money so if it's a really good quality then I'll be willing to pay....about....70$. I want it to: •Have nice smooth wheels •Have easily loosenable wheels or whatever •A strong board •But mostly nice wheels I'm gonna be using it for cruising around town and getting places and a few minor tricks If that makes a differance..... What is the fastest skateboard type?
The speed of the board depends on weight of the board, trucks, and wheels. It also depends on what ABEC rating your bearings are. I would recommend using a light board, with light (yet durable) trucks, ABEC 7 or Ceramic bearings, and slightly large, soft wheels. The wheels will make it so you can roll over cracks and debris without sacrificing a lot of speed, and with less of a chance of being chucked off your board if you run over a pebble. Because you would be using larger wheels, I would recommend getting risers for your trucks to avoid wheelbite. If you don't want to do tricks (or if you just don't want to deal with all of the different parts), just get a quality complete longboard. On longboards, it is much more difficult to do tricks than it is with a standard "popsicle-stick" shaped board, but longboards are capable of traveling at high speeds while still giving you a relatively comfortable ride.
Tips On Skateboarding Needed!?
1st u need to establish what type of skater u want to b, and use a friends board a few times to make sure u want to get into it, it can b a little pricy, -if u want to go to skate parks and do tricks and rails and jumps u want to just get the normal average skateboard -if u want to joyride long distances and go down big hills and go fast and far u want a longboard( that is what im into right now and i like it more than skateboarding at the park, and ive done both) and longboarding u dont fall as much but when u do its normally pretty bad bc ur going alot faster than a skateboard. -or a cruiser type board, these are used for riding short distances and doing some mild tricks on( kind of a mix between skateboard and longboard) if u live in an area that is in the city with not very many places to freeride with a longboard id get a skateboard if i were u, check out some vids on youtube to see what its like just search longboarding or skateboarding hope i was a help, and good luck btw always wear a helmet its not dumb trust me.

What Type of Skateboard Wheels are good that don't get Stuck on Rocks?
What size do you use, don't use a really small size wheel and you should be alright, I use 53 or 54mm usally and have never had that problem before. Brand won't make a differance I use blanks now and they work jsut as good as all the other brands i've tried in the past. Urathane is urathane all wheels are made the same.
What type of skateboard should I get? A cruiser or a popsicle.?
I'm new to skateboarding and am still learning how. (can't turn yet) I want a new board and I'm not sure if I should get a cruiser or popsicle. I'm mainly going to use it for transport but I still want to learn/do tricks. What type of board is best for beginners and travel but also still good for tricks.
