What Types Of Shoes Should I Get

What type of shoes should i get?

Hi, i am going into high school and i'm planning on getting a pair of new shoes. I'm planning on throwing out my old sneakers, and just having my new sneakers. Since it would be my only pair of sneakers for a time. What kind of shoes should i get? I have gym 3 times a week, i walk to school everyday. I wanted to get converse or vans but i heard they were bad because they could injure you feet. And i'm not a fan of how those athletic shoes look like. What type of shoes look good and won't hurt my feet?

How many different types of shoes should you have for the gym? What should make the difference?

Actually I don't have different pairs of styles but multiple pairs of the same style of shoe.I do this because I've found two versions of a running shoe I find just about perfect for me. The shoe I'm talking about is the Nike Free 5.0+ and the Flyknit version of the same shoe ...specifically the 2012 and 2013 versions. Unfortunately Nike is in the business of making money so they very rarely leave their shoe lines alone for very long ...they must "improve" them. I've had this happen many times; the "new and improved" shoe is anything but as far as I'm concerned. And so I go again in search of a running shoe I like. But when I found "my" versions of the Nike Free 5.0+ I snagged multiple pairs. Since the shoe is not currently in production and not available in stores, I have garnered my supply from eBay. At present I have 4 pair of Nike Free 5.0+ and four pair of the Nike Free Flyknit 5.0+.And I'm quite happy. Since my gym is in my basement (a BowFlex and some free weights) I mostly don't wear  shoes ....a pair of shorts (and sometimes not) is about the extent of my attire. Working out bare....and barefooted is totally awesome and works just fine for me.

What type of shoes do you like?

Sometimes I think so many shoes and only two feet. Choice of shoe is depend upon which dress you are wearing. Here are some of my choice:Zara white shoe which I love to pair with jeans like belowFor Gym I have Reebok shoe:I also like long boots especially knee one. Which looks very trendy with one pieces dress.Friday is the casual day in office, I love to wear Snickers.

What type of soccer shoes should i get?

get the predators. they are the most comfortable of the 4. otherwise look at getting adidas copa mundial / world cups or nike air legends.
ignore the gimmicks football boot manufacturers use to get idiots to buy their products. shoes that are 10grams lighter arent going to make you run faster, having a special material on top isnt going to make u control the ball if u cant already control it.
go to the store with the socks that you usually play in (they are usually thick), ask to try on different boots, walk around in them and see which one fits best. look for boots made of k-leather (kangaroo leather). they usually mold to your feel and feel more comfortable the longer you play in them, and they should last longer than synthetic materials.

Which type of converse shoes should i get?

low tops are cute in the summer as well in the winter. in the summer you can wear shorts and not look stupid wearing the high tops, but in the winter you can wear high tops with jeans or any kinds of pants and it looks fine. it just depends what you want to wear them with, i personally like the low tops better, and i think they look better on people as well. Good luck when you buy your shoes; and i hope you love them once you get them! this is just my though on what i think you should get. get whatever you think you like better. and also get which one looks best on you, so people can not pull of high tops, so make sure you try them on first! they can hurt your feet after a while so make sure you like the feeling of them!

What type of running shoes should i get?

I have a neutral gait (don't overpronate) and run in Mizuno Wave Riders and the Asics Cumulus. I'm a pretty serious distance runner (not all that fast, but run 80 miles per week or more). But the best shoe for me may not be the best shoe for you.

I am an advocate of "if it's not broke, don't fix it." If you really like your current Nike running shoes, I would try and find the same model or something very close to it. The shoes obviously are working well for you.

If you can't find the same model, I would suggest finding a local running store. Most cities will have at least one. An example around here is Fleet Feet. You want a running specialty store, not Foot Locker or a big box store. Take your running shoes with you to the store and tell the salesperson that they have been working well for you. At a true running store, the salespeople are usually either runners themselves or trained to look at your gait and recommend a shoe that works best for your foot type. For example, if you overpronate, you need a shoe that corrects that problem to avoid injury. (Those shoes are called Stability or Motion Control shoes.)

There are basically three kinds of running shoes: Neutral (for people who don't overpronate), Stability (for people who are basically normal pronators to somewhat overpronators), and Motion Control (for people who overpronate a lot).

If you can figure out what model your Nikes are, go to a place like runningwarehouse.com and see what category the shoe is placed in. For example, the Nike Pegasus is a very popular Nike shoe. It's a neutral shoe. Comparable shoes if you wanted to try a different brand would be the Mizuno Wave Rider or Wave Creation, the Asics Cumulus or Nimbus, Brooks Glycerin, the Saucony Trigon Ride or Triumph, etc.

Most of the major companies make good running shoes. I have a pair of Nikes I like (the Skylon) but I tend to avoid Nike because they seem to drop models without warning. That said, I do like their Bowerman series shoes. Adidas, Asics, Brooks, New Balance, Saucony, Mizuno, and Nike are some of the big names in running shoes. All make excellent, quality running shoes in each of the three major running shoe categories, but each will feel a little different and what I like best, you may not like best, that's why there are different brands to choose from.

What type of shoes should i get for a 15 year old guy?

I think it depends on his style. A lot of my younger brothers' friends like Converse All Stars and Vans slip ons, as well as Nike SB Dunks and Jordans.

What type of shoes should i get for Cross Country? those with spikes or just running shoes?

On an ideal runner, spikes help massively. They are lighter, they add more traction, and they increase your running efficiency by reinforcing a more aggressive gait.

Obviously if a course has a lot of cement you would want to wear racing flats, or just put in blanks in your spikes. (spikes dont dig into cement thus making it harder to run).

You probably arent ideal though. So the amount that spikes will help you in cross country will depend on how fast you are and how strong your running form is. The reason why is because they have a spike plate, which forces your foot in to a more aggressive position, as well as adds traction with the use of spikes. The problem is, if you aren't strong enough to run in an aggressive position, then you will not be getting anything out of the spikes except maybe some additional traction and a light weight shoe. In that case they would still be better than regular shoes, but about the same as racing flats (in this case the better of the 2 would depend on the person).

Racing flats do not have a spike plate, and are just light weight running shoes. They are a great choice. Dramatically better than regular shoes, and less to worry about than in spikes.

If you are not an elite runner, then you might as well just get racing flats. They are easy to use, and will help quite a bit. Spikes would be better if you knew how to use them or were really fast, but I don't think you would be asking this question if that were the case.

Also keep in mind that with any lighter weight shoe, they will wear out faster. Generally about 100-150 miles for racing flats. Some like the nike mayfly were only supposed to last 60 miles. Obviously you can run more in them if you want, but you'd have a higher chance at injury, and they wouldnt feel as smooth while running.
