When Should I Take The Dental Admission Test Dat

How hard is the Dental Admission Test (DAT)?

Unfortunately, the level of difficulty of the DAT is a very subjective opinion. What might be difficult for one person, might register easily for somebody else. My ex-boss, a dentist, said the test was extremely easy for him. When he gave me examples of what was on the test, it freaked me out because I figured I could never pass it, and I had always been an honor roll student throughout school. There are plenty of books, articles, and tips available on how to help you prepare and better your chances of passing the DAT. Good luck to you and sorry I couldn't provide a more definitive answer.

Dental Admission Test Help?

No because those are extremely basic-plus they cover subjects of math, bio, and reading that aren't tested on the DAT so essentially it will be a waste of time. I'm not sure that you understand how intense of an exam this is. People normally study for a few months straight and some even pay thousands of dollars to take prep courses. Dental school is so competitive that its imperative to do well. You need to study from DAT and MCAT books. Try Kaplan, Princeton Review, Examcrackers, and DAT Achiever.

DAT (Dental Test) Question?

Today I took a practice DAT exam through Kaplan at the University of Arizona. Although I think I didn't do very well, I haven't taken Biology, General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry yet at U of A. (I'm a freshman).
My scores were as follows:
Biology 12
General Chemistry 12
Organic Chemistry 10
Perceptual Ability 17
Reading Comprehension 12
Quantitative Reasoning 15
Total Science 11
Academic Average 12

So my question was... normally people have like one score they give when someone asks what they got on the DAT. How do I figure out what my one score is from all my scores that I recieved. Also, I know this is bad, but again, I haven't taken any of the sciences classes. Is it realistic after taking these classes and putting in some serious study time to get my scores in the 20's? Also, what are the best books for quantitative review. I read that Kaplan is best for the sciences, Barron's is best for the Perceptual Ability, but what is best for the math. Thanks..

How can I balance studying for DAT (dental admissions test), exercising, and fasting during Ramadan?

Asalamalaikum!

I'll be studying for the Dental Admissions Test this summer but I want to keep my fasts Inshallah and make sure I can retain information and have stamina. How can I study, exercise, and keep with my fasts with out feeling sick or that I'm not retaining the information. Please true good advice. No negativity needed. Thanks!

DAT test for dental school?

The DAT has college level sciences in it. If you got a good score as a sophmore in High School then you'd be a genius. Its expected for you not to get a good score right now. The DAT requires that some prerquisite college courses be taken before and even when students take those classes they often have to take a class that teaches them just how to study for the DAT in order to do well.

The DAT has few things that actually have to do with Dentistry. The test is to see how well you do with hard classes and standardized tests. Depending on the college that you attend, some of your teachers will be familiar with the material on the DAT and every once in a while they'll mention that they're going over something in class that is probably on the DAT. But really, the best way to prepare is to take a DAT course all by itself after the prereqs have been taken. A lot of students do it on their own though (with books that explain how and what to study)
