When Should My Final Transcript Be Sent To My College

When applying to US colleges, should I only send my transcript for 9,10 and 11th grade?

Yes, since you are currently a senior (12th grade) at high school, your transcript should contain 9–11 grades. If you are admitted and commit to this college, you’ll be required to submit the final transcript for 9–12th grades to finalize the enrollment paperwork.(In some countries, high school years are different: it could be 9–11th grades, or even 8–10th, or 7–12th. If you have a question about transcript requirements, contact the admissions office directly. )If you apply early action/decision and are deferred, you’ll be able to submit the fall semester grades as an update + any new awards or test scores. You ask “Should I send my transcript…” - I just want to make sure that you know that the transcript must be submitted to college directly by your school, not by you as an applicant. It can be submitted electronically or mailed to the address provided on the admissions website. Pay attention to the translation requirements for the foreign documentation.

Final high school transcript for college?

You can apply as early as August (maybe before if they accept applications!). I know I'm applying as soon as I get my senior schedule (just so I won't have to worry about it later. Apply to my top choice college which is on rolling admissions...then if I get rejected apply elsewhere when there's still time).

You will not have grades (maybe for first semester if you apply in the new year) when you apply. Should the college be interested or want to know you have senioritis they can ask for your senior grades after you've been accepted, deferred, and the like. Keep in mind if your grades drop dramatically they have every right to reject you after they've accepted you.

Why do colleges need to see your final transcript?

Yes you could be "de-accepted" (not a word)

How do I send colleges my high school transcripts?

You must contact your high school directly and have them send an “"official copy.”, meaning never having been passed threw your hands. It must come directly from your school to the college. Most colleges will accept a mailed or verified emailed copy from a verifiable school address. If international, mailing is probably better. There is also the Common Application on line which many US schools accept, but I a not sure international students can use that site. England has a similar common application site.

How to send your high school transcript to college?

Whoever has custody of your transcripts, your mother or some school, must send your transcripts to your college via e-mail or regular mail. YOU have to request they do it.

Just MAIL a copy to the registrar's office. Do it yourself and by mail. If your school told you to mail it yourself, then do it. Put their return address on it, stamp it and send it off.

Do you send transcripts to colleges BEFORE getting accepted?

Hi,

Your high school Registrar will be able to answer this question in more detail. Normally official high school transcripts means the school sends the transcript directly to the university and normally you have to pay a fee to do this. Typically you will send your transcripts as a part of the application process and if your grades are in line with their requirements the university will most likely offer you a conditional offer then once you graduate another set is sent off to the university. Once the university receives the final transcript and provided your grades are still in line with their requirements they will then make an unconditional offer.

Do final transcripts matter?

How much lower? If you are officially accepted, I don't think a slightly lower gpa in your last year would cause them to deny your admittance. If it is dramatically lower, it might have some negatives or require you to take some remedial courses.

If your acceptance is provisional, then it might cause them to change it to a NO if your final gpa is much lower than before. Your best bet is to write an explanation of this and hope for the best when they review the new information.

The most important thing is that you understand why it is lower and how you are going to get onto a positive track as you begin your college career. Is it lower because you got lazy and blew off your responsibilities. Grow up! Is it lower because you took more responsibility and tougher classes? Then know your limits and budget your time, perhaps taking a lighter course load to assure you've got enough time to do well--even if it means staying an extra semester or summer session at some point.

What happens if my high school never sent a final official transcript to my college?

At my school to request a final transcript, you have to fill out a card and drop it in a box. I came in to drop the card in the box, but the box was on a high shelf higher than me so I reach and drop it. I am not sure if it landed in the box or it slid outside the box. It was a small box. I couldn't see. I am worried the school will not get the card.

What do you do if you graduated and the college you are going to haven't receive you official final transcript? Also, after the school sees your transcript request, do they inform you they will be sending it to your college?
