Where Can I Buy Wai Wai Noodles In Chennai India.

Why is Indomie noodles not in india?

Trust me, nobody is more upset about this than me! I grew up in Indonesia and Indomie was a staple part of my diet. I have even written to Indofood for help but it didn't help much. I have been told it is available in Kerala, but I really wish I could get some contact details for somebody who can get it to me in Bangalore. They are really losing out on tapping the market in this city!

I eat 4 to 5 packets of Wai Wai (instant noodles that can be eaten raw also) every week. I just can't stop myself. The taste is titillating. How do I stop it and how is it harming my body?

It has or soon will  turn into an addiction.      About the fact how's your habit harmful it's that these noodles are coated in masalas which if consumed over time may prove somewhat to be "residually toxic". Later they may cause bowel irritation. Also by consuming this you are not taking enough fibres, vitamins etc.   Thus there is a growing deficiency.   Being a chinese food lover i also enjoy noodles.  Try rice noodles they are healthier than instant noodles, nowadays you also get oat noodles.Top them with seasonal veggies, shredded chicken. This is healthier and slowly over time you will stop liking instant noodles .

Why are Nestle Maggi noodles so popular, especially in India? Is it because of the superior taste, or because of the kind of marketing that Nestle does for its brand?

Nestle launched Maggi noodles with its captivating two-minute tagline way back in 1982 when instant food was not popular in India. Even after 31 years, it enjoys approx. 75% of the market share. Three more products on the same lines were introduced after that namely Top Ramen, Yipee, Foodles and Knorr Soupy Noodles.Maggi surely had First Movers Advantage. Maggi was distributed in schools so as to promote trials. This also may have helped. When a brand creates a new category it sets a benchmark for quality. Maggi did the same to the instant noodle category in India.Advertising helped in popularizing Maggi. 2-minute tagline and Fast to Cook, Good to Eat helped Maggi to create a huge customer base.Taste Bhi Health Bhi Campaign concentrated on nutrition factor which is the concern of mothers,Also, the latest campaign starring Amitabh Bachchan makes the consumer connect to the product. It asks for customer's  Maggi memories. Ad Campaign helped Maggi establish itself in India during its early days. Once a person starts liking a particular taste, its very difficult to change that.

Which brand of instant noodles is healthy as well as tasty in India?

Congrats for asking this question. This is not an easy task to tabulate good and healthy instant noodles. Many companies market their noodles as healthy as well as tasty. I have tasted the most popular noodles selling in India (except WAI WAI noodles since it is not easily available). They are as followsMAGGI 2 MINUTE NOODLESSUNFEAST YIPPEE NOODLESPATANJALI NOODLESTOP RAMEN NOODLESKNORR SOUPY NOODLESMAGGI 2 MINUTE NOODLESMaggi is sold world wide by Unilever as 2 minute noodles. It is much tasty and best consumed among Indians. Recently had rumors made people back to taste MAGGI. But it is tasty and it is said to be healthy when consumed with vegetables with suitable dieting prospects.SUNFEAST YIPPEE NOODLESIt is marketed by ITC LIMITED in India as safer and better than other brands and it is somewhat true and is tastier like MAGGI. It is also healthier when consumed with vegetables with suitable dieting prospects.PATANJALI NOODLESIf you wanna try a healthier choice than other PATANJALI is best. It is made with whole wheat and rice bran oil. But the taste is at a long distance. But it is healthier.TOP RAMEN NOODLESIt is also limed by everyone. Also tastier and healthier along with vegetables and milkKNORR SOUPY NOODLESLoved by least of Indians but tastier with a unique masala combination. It is said to be healthier with a diversified balanced diet.****But these NOODLES contains MSG or other flavor enhancers which shall be avoided by Asthmatic patients.

Is it only maggi or other brands have not been tested for harmful content? And why just maggi?

Maggi is not the first case. Coca Cola and Pepsi were also found with unhealthy matters. The matter was on its height for a period and it was over. Maggi is consumed much more than any other food in instant food category. And because too many people eat these noodles, it became an issue of national importance. While there are other brands which are not much concerned, because compared to maggi they sell very less and food security department give them notices if they are found with any harmful substances. Maggi is only banned yet for a small period , so that company would take back its harmful product back.
