How to make a Poison Ivy costume?
I need to make a cheap (but cute) poison ivy costume for a school thing. Only problem is i need it in 2 days, so it would have to be simple as well. modesty is important to me. So any ideas for something that wont be too revealing?? Thank you!!!
Poison Ivy Costume/Hairstyle HELP!?
I am planning on making my own Poison Ivy costume this year for halloween, since Batman seems to be extremely popular and nobody has taken this costume idea yet. I know that there is no way I can get an exact version, but I do plan on making something very similar to this (watch the video, even if you watch it briefly.. I like the idea of the green leotard, but I can't seem to find any (especially green) in stores around me. So, I looked online and found some bathing suits that seemed to work. I was thinking of buying a strapless one and gluing a strapless push-up bra inside for support. The tights are nylon green. I was thinking that the bodysuit would be a slightly darker green than the tights would be, and then instead of the boots, I'd wear a pair of red pumps. I might even add a red belt around the leotard as well. The gloves have been impossible to find, so I'm basically going to skip those all together I think. Long red fingernails will do just fine, along with spraying in some bright red temporary dye (hair). So, my question is that I still need opinions on things to possibly add or subtract, and where I can get these things.. I'd rather not order online since it can get pricey and annoying, however, if there is a website you can find, feel free to suggest it here. The hair is also a big problem for me.. I would really like to do the signature cones she has done throughout most of the movie shown here: http://dario20.files.wordpress.com/2008/... But, I have no idea how to keep those in place. I have thick hair, and I have heard of wrapping the hair around cones made of cardboard to do this, but how would I keep them in place? :/ ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! I REALLY WANT THIS HALLOWEEN COSTUME TO BE SPECIAL.

What should I use to make a realistic Poison Ivy costume ?
Hm.. interesting idea! Make sure you've definitely got a good selection of green clothing. If it won't be too cold for you outside, then green tights/leggings/Spandex would be good. If you have a green tube top or leotard, that could work as well. You could even have a one-piece green bathing suit, too, which might be a little uncomfortable, but would look good. Try not to have the greens be completely different shades in your costume - make sure they'll all be in the same range of colour, preferably darker. Do yo have any green gloves? You'll likely find some in local stores like Wal-Mart or any thrift stores, but it's still good to be prepared. How about the leaves outside? Have they fallen yet? If you've still got a few unchanged leaves hanging around, you can always try sticking them together (tacks, glue, staples, etc. can work) and get them on your clothing, maybe a bit on your hair as well. Ripping off a strand of leaves from a branch and tying it around could work, too. The same goes for dark, leafy bushes and other plants, which you can easily incorporate. I'm guessing you'd probably like the same hair colour as Poison Ivy would have - if you already don't - coloured hairspray can always do the trick, and is pretty easy to find. If you don't want to use it, you could always get a long, red wig. As for the shoes, again, anything green or dark would do. If you've got that, you're good to go. Also, make sure you don't get any itchy leaves or vines, that could ruin your Halloween! Good luck! :-)

I REALLY want to be Poison Ivy for halloween, but i can't find anything for it. I have searched for the costumes and they are all lame (green one piece leotard with a leaf in the middle) So i decided to try and piece one together myself but i cannot find a green corset or leotard for the life of me that would work!
