High cost doesn’t always translate to reliability, keep that in mind. I have a graveyard of moderately expensive Turtle Beach products. Ironically, the cheaper ones tend to last longer…at least in my experience with Turtle Beach.I heard great reviews about Hyper X clouds but mine broke after a couple months.Honestly, I’m leaning on buying some Tritans (the $300 model) because my friend has had his same pair for a couple years and I just can’t seem to catch a break.It’s important to note that I store my headset properly and I am extremely careful with them so I’m not sure what’s going on. Also, whenever I run into an issue I plug them into a new adapter and a new controller.Takeaway: steer away from Turtlebeach unless it’s a cheap model.
Best Headset for Xbox One?
Hello Everyone. I have been considering buying a gaming headset for my Xbox One and no matter how much I research I just can't find anything. This community seems like one that would be able to help me though. I would like all of these things Wireless (At least from Xbox. I don't mind it plugged into the controller.) Great Sound Quality (I would optimally like 7.1 surround sound) Comfortable Somewhat easy setup. A decent mic for party chats. An audio adapter for the controller (if needed) If you could provide a list of headsets that you personally know are good I would be very happy. Price doesn't matter much but I would aim to be under $200 . If that is unobtainable I would go higher though. Thanks!
What is the best gaming headset out for Xbox One?
It really depends on your budget. Pretty much any headset will work with the adapter, but if you have a surround sound headset you wont be able to get surround sound just by plugging it in to the controller. To get surround sound you'll need a separate component to connect to the xbox one, like the astro a50's and steelseries h wireless have. If you dont care about surround sound and just want a good stereo headset, I'd go with the turtle beach xo sevens. They seem to have the best reviews of the made-for-xbox-one headsets (the others being the polk 4shot and turtle beach xo4). If you want a top of the line wireless surround sound headset, I'd go with either the astro a50s or the steelseried h wireless. They both retail for $300 which of course is a lot of money but these are the best you'll find. You can even get the a50s manufacturer refurbished on amazon for $200. I, personally, am waiting to see what headsets are in the works before I purchase anything. I recommend the xo7 for you.

Best really cheap xbox 360 headset?
The cheapest headset that I can recommend which is compatible with Xbox is a Turtle beach headset. There is also a newer version of this headset available which is far superior than this version but that one is way over your budget therefore not suggesting it. The main problem with recommending cheap headset lesser then this price range is that most of the time they either do not have good sound, or mic is not good enough for chatting because they pick up back ground noises more then speakers voice or they are not durable enough to last long. Sometimes they are not comfortable for long playing sessions. Therefore I won't suggest them however if you insist on taking something more cheaper than this then you can look into them if you like to.
