Altering a flapper dress?
for Halloween, i'm dressing up as "roaring 20's" girl, and i have everything i need for my costume... including the flapper dress... except, i don't feel like it's even a little sexy.... i was wondering how i could go about altering my costume/dress to be a little sexier. i plan on shortening the dress a little, but the top part is really straight cut. right across. anyway to maybe turn it into a v-neck without putting too much money into it, or having it look horrible? any advice is appreciated! :)

I look for shapeless shift dresses with a drop waist line. You can add a skinny belt or sash to create a drop waist on a waist-less dress. Add long pearls, T Strap shoes, and a headband or cloche hat for a complete look. Cost is $20 and up.Online- You can do the obvious search for “Cheap flapper dresses” and find a plethora of direct from China cheap dresses. The quality will be hit or miss and the time for delivery can be months. Amazon has many of these dresses already in the States. Look for Prime shipping available and you can get it in just a few days.
Flapper girl make up?
very dark eyes in a rounder shape encasing the eye. lips are dark, very well defined with a small shape. skin is matte. cheeks are very much "rouge" looking and higher. i like to add lashes with a strong baseline that is a bit flarey so it modernizes this look more and photographs well. don't forget the hat and the fringe. i just did a photoshoot where for the modern day flapper, we used a tight white knitted beanie with the model's white fringie dress...so immaculate and beautiful along with the black bob wig. don't forget the flapper dances. i like flappers to have a bit of elegance to them so i love feathery brooches on the hats and dangly, antiquated jewelry along with an amazingly well executed makeup. i also love wigs! wigs and lashes!! hope this helps.
