Where To Do My Work Experience

Should i use the flea market as work experience?

YES!! A thousand times yes! I look at anyone with admiration and amazement that they can successfully work with and for a family business! That creates a great discussion for any interviewer. You have customer service skills, mathematics, selling, negotiating skills and great patience. I would put the name of the flea market at the "employer" and put Sales as title with brief description. Maybe mention how successful you have made the business? And yes, to the teachers aid too. Great patience and good teaching skills. No difference if it is volunteer or not.

Do a resume if you can. You have enough FOR SURE!

Good Luck!!

Is any work experience really better than no work experience?

Yes, absolutely. It shows you have some ambition, some work experience, some work ethic, and some knowledge of how the real adult world works. It's not related to Mechanical Engineering specifically, but every Mechanical Engineering job is just a job like a job at McDonalds -- you have to show up on time, do your duties, and take responsibility for your work.

My work experience is too boring!?

My work experience is so boring, I do work that they set but it's like I'm doing all this pointless work for nothing. I done a 16 page document today and they said well done then I look into my bin and find it in there. I started 10mims early, I am meant to have 1 hour lunch but instead I had 10mins I also finished 5mins later than I should of. Today I worked from 8:50 to 5:10 with a 10minute break at 1. It's so boring because I'm in a office with loads of people and then there's me the odd one out, they are all talking to each other but it's only me on experience so I have no one to talk to. I got home and my eyes were stining because I have been looking at the computer for too long, also my back aches because I didn't move from my desk even through dinner I ate my sandwhiches at the desk they gave me. Please help

Can I do my work experience at Forbidden Planet?

It is a retail job so of course you can however you would probably have to organize it yourself with the manager of the store. You can do this very easily by ringing up the store and asking to speak to the manager about work experience. When you speak to the manager you will have to say something like "Hi, my names.... i will be taking part in work experience on....and i was wondering if it would be possible to do it at your store as i am a huge fan of what you sell and i believe i will be able to connect with your customers, also i believe it would be a great experience for me as i will be involved in one of my hobbies" and just sell yourself, kinda like an interview haa.
Or you could ask your school to organise it if they will.

In what order should I put my education and my work experience on my resume?

It depends on your situation, but some guidelines in general are noted below. 1. Recent graduate with no job-related experience (especially if not working)  - I recommend education first.2. Currently working - experience first. (If you have a related degree you can mention it in your profile summary.)3. Out of work (even if recent working in current profession) but back in school - school first (most times - covers the gap).4. Out of work (but worked since last school experience) - Work experience first. If you graduated from a top school (like I did from MIT), you can mention it in your summary - and then put the education where it belongs based on your experience. If you need help in determining this for your situation, you may want to check with a professional, such as Robin's Resumes®.

Should my education, or work experience go first on my resume (non-target school, extensive working experience)?

Put whatever is most relevant first.Did you complete your education more than 5 years ago and have job experience relevant to your target field of work? Put your work experience first. Your work experience will always be more important than your education. Essentially, your education is what gets you your first job and your first job will lead you to your second and so-on.I can’t imagine when your education would be more relevant than 5 years of relevant work-experience.
