Where To Get Korean Phones Repaired

Is android phones really for poor people ?

If the technology does pretty much the same exact thing as something pricier, than a better question is. "Are people that spend $700 on an iphone better than the person that spent $300 on an android phone, which has different apps, but works pretty much the same?"
And consider that iPhones are the worst phones to repair. They build them in such a way that if they break, you have NO CHOICE but to have them repaired by their techs. Whereas an Android phone is simple to fix.

Why are Korean made phones like Samsung cheaper? What are its disadvantages?

If you travel to South Korea and attempt to purchase the same Samsung or LG phone (actually any electronics from either South Korean mega-company) you will find them to be much more expensive. These companies sell their electronics in other parts of the world, particularly in the US at a lower price point than other companies in order to under cut those other companies and get their products in the hands of more people. This comes at a loss in profits per unit but is made up for in volume (partially). The main way they make up for the loss in profits overseas is to charge more domestically, where they have a stranglehold on the market as it is very difficult for outside companies to enter the marketplace there. It is an open secret in South Korea that you can go on Amazon’s English website, buy a Samsung product from America, pay shipping and import taxes and still save several hundred thousand Won (several hundred US dollars) over just walking down the street and getting the identical product from a Samsung (or LG) company owned store. they can save even more money if they take the time to go through a virtual private network VPN, in order to make Amazon think they are placing their order from inside the US.Based on the hardware in the phone, there is no disadvantage to buying the latest model smartphone from Samsung vs buying one from an American Company (or any other country). The advantage would be getting the latest technology smart phone for less cost and knowing it was manufactured by the largest phone manufacturer in the world. Huawei (a Chinese smartphone company is number 2 and Apple is number 3, as of 7 Sep, 2017)Apple has lost its position as the second-biggest smartphone maker in the world

Why are Samsung phones not popular in Japan?

Samsung is a popular company in Japan. But not to the Japanese.#1: Samsung is a Korean company, in direct competition with Japanese companies.Although many do buy Samsung phones, it is a sense of ‘favoring’ Korea rather than local companies.Samsung produces awesome technology, yet the average consumer in Japan doesn’t need/doesn’t know what they’re getting.#2: iPhone’s already taken over the market. From heavy advertising from day one to company brand image, Apple is a huge player in Japan. With a 72% marketshare, and no prospect of going down, Samsung has nothing to do but pack up and leave.iPhone is seen as cutting-edge, yet trendy in Japan.#3: Department Bias. The moment you walk into a store—BOOM. Apple. The entire front section of the store is nothing but Apple. And this is not one store, this is every tech store in Japan. On the other hand, Samsung is just chilling in the back, waiting for someone to pick it up.In the end, Apple is way too big a competitor for Samsung to score in Japan. Like I said in the beginning, yes, Samsung is popular in Japan, but only to the Korean, who love showing their country off.Samsung is a wonderful company, making incredible technology, but their brand image is almost nothing in Japan. Yet now, it’s too late to fix any of that, because a bad brand-image is a bad brand-image forever.ARMAAN AGRAWAL

What is the difference between a Korean version of Samsung's mobile device and an international/US version?

Practically speaking, the most authentic Samsung smartphones are the Korean Variants since Samsung and even LG and Sky are Korean companies. The Korean variants were designed for the Korean Telco infrastructure, to take advantage of their high speed Internet there. Also, they have this TV service that’s why older models had antennas. For U.S. and other variants (they call International), they are designed to be used for the networks of countries they were intended to be distributed to.I strongly disagree that the Korean variants’ processor and build are substandard compared to the international version. Highly untrue. As a matter of fact, Korean variants are superior to the international ones but of course, you must know if it can work in your country. I’m from the Philippines and truth to tell, I love the Korean variants. I have tried many models from different Korean brands. Currently I’m using the LG V10 and LG G5, both from Korean and they’re great!!! They are more durable and have better hardware specs. Koreans, much like Japanese, design better phones for their own consumption as opposed to those they export worldwide.

Should I buy a Korean made Samsung Note 3 as it is cheaper?

There is a very good chance that it might not last for too long. If you do have an international version, you could get it repaired free of cost if its under warranty. If the price difference isn't too high, I would suggest going for the international version.

How do you use an Android clone from China or Korea with a U.S. mobile carrier?

First, check network compatibility. Sprint and Verizon, with few exceptions, will generally refuse to activate any device not originally sold by them nor branded with their logo. This will leave you with AT&T, T-Mobile, and all the various resellers of those two's networks. If the device says CDMA2000 1xRTT, CDMA2000 EV-DO or similar and also has a SIM slot, Verizon Wireless may provide you with a SIM card (but they'll probably won't.) You might even be able to get away with moving a 4G LTE SIM over from a Verizon 4G phone, but that might be pushing your luck. Don't expect any Chinese or Korean phones to work on Verizon.Look for tri-band or quad-band GSM support. If WCDMA/UMTS is offered, look for support of bands 2 (1900MHz), 4 (1700/2100 split), and 5 (850MHz). Band 1 (2100MHz) is not the same as Band 4 (1700/2100 split.) Secondly, contact your carrier to get up-to-date APN settings. This may not be needed; pop in your SIM card and see if mobile Internet access "just works". If it does, then no manual configuration is required.Thirdly, if you can receive texts but not send them, you may need to configure a SMS Gateway. A SMS Gateway should already be pre-configured on your SIM card, if not, you may need to visit your carrier's store and request a replacement SIM.That's basically it. If you have other issues (such as the lack of Google Play Store), those are wholly outside the scope of your question - after all, Google Play has nothing to do with making a phone call.

Are the smart phones made by Samsung in Vietnam a kind of master copies of the smartphones made by Samsung in korea?

Recently, Samsung has started to build more factories in Vietnam due to low labour cost and resoureful manpower so more and more made-in-Vietnam SS phones being produced is not a surprising thing. The ones manufactured in Vietnam does not. Samsung Samsung Smart Phones Smart Phones Unfortunately, I have been into many accidents where the phone I bought in Singapore got refused to be repaired by the Samsung employees in Korea. There are two main Samsung headquarters here in Vietnam and one is located in Bac Ninh, the other is at Ho Chi Minh city. Just do not worry, Vietnamese do not like copying stuffs and we are not Chinese.Samsung Electronics is as of now producing 50 percent of its cell phones in Vietnam and just 8 percent in Korea. At exhibit, Samsung Electronics is running six cell phone producing offices in the six nations of Vietnam, China, India, Brazil, Indonesia, and Korea.

Is it true that LG refrigerators are really not that good?

About Stephen C's answer: The Best Buy salesmen who sell these do not receive a commission, so no matter if the sell the fridge or not, they're still paid the same way.
Also, the fact that LG itself will fix my refrigerator and not Best Buy is a good thing, because Best Buy probably does not have the parts or knowledge necessary to repair a fridge made by LG.
And about the thing where you said that the industry is going from a 5-year warranty to a 1-year warranty on a sealed compressor...I don't know what you mean by that. I don't want to sound naive, but I don't think the salesman lied to me when saying about the warranty on the compressor. Even when asking me if I want a service plan on it when I was buying it, he said that it comes with a 7-year warranty on the compressor anyway, fact that I don't think was in his interest necessarily because they want to get as much money out of your pocket as possible. I'm positive they wouldn't have the courage to lie & hope to get away with it.
