To protect against keyloggers I recommend using KeyScrambler Personal 2.4.
KeyScrambler Personal is a free plug-in for your Web browser that protects everything you type from keyloggers. It defeats keyloggers by encrypting your keystrokes at the keyboard driver level, deep within the operating system. When the encrypted keystrokes reach your browser, KeyScrambler then decrypts them so you see exactly the keys you've typed. Keyloggers can only record the encrypted keys, which are completely indecipherable. Unlike anti-virus and anti-spyware programs that depend on recognition to remove keyloggers that they know about, KeyScrambler will protect you from both known and unknown keyloggers. What's more, KeyScrambler provides protection without getting in your way. You don't have anything to learn about the program and you don't have to do anything differently, but with KeyScrambler your important personal information will be a whole lot safer.

Look at some pics of keyscrambler.

What does an anti-virus protect your computer against?

"Viruses...Duh"

Yeah. I know, i'm just wondering how exactly. I have Nod32 on my computer so i'm wondering if i can watch streamed videos online (like on Youtube, Megavideo, Veoh, etc.) without worrying at all about getting viruses or not. If there is a virus, what is the anti-virus going to do? Is it going to try to prevent me from watching the video? Or is an alert message going to appear? Or is it possible that i still get viruses from watching videos online (not downloading them!) even though i have an anti-virus?

Is windows defender good enough for protection against virus or we need to install an antivirus software?

Whether you need an antivirus or not depends on what you do on a regular day-to-day basis on the internet,i.e. if you just surf the internet and download occasionally, or if you download heavily, and also what kind of security practices you follow. Some basic security practices to be followed:Keep all the softwares updated.Never download anything from an unreliable website.Don't download the e-mail attachments you are unsure of.Whenever you want to download and run any program(especially .exe files), always get is checked from websites like Free Online Virus, Malware and URL Scanner Avoid clicking on unsafe links(ads masquerading as download links or buttons). To be sure, hover the mouse pointer over the links, and check if they'll take you to a genuine URL or redirect you to some other URL.Uninstall the java plug-ins from all the browsers.Keep the firewall enabled.Windows Defender provides baseline level of protection. As long as you just surf the internet on a regular basis, with occasional downloads, and follow the above security practices, you should be fine. As a matter of fact, it has a lot of advantages too. It doesn't harass us with pop-ups, ads or requests for upgrade, it's free and is lighter than other antivirus softwares.  However, if you regularly download pirated(torrent related) applications or applications from unknown sites, I would recommend you use some good anti-malware software. For more information on the antivirus softwares, visit AV-TEST – The Independent IT-Security Institute .

How do you know if you have a virus on your computer?

I thought all virus protection software would protect my computer? What websites would you avoid to prevent from getting a virus? When repairing can a computer tech know where the virus came from?
