Which Leafs Jersey Should I Get

Do hockey jerseys run big?

If he is a guy who fits into women's small/medium shirts, you should get him a medium size jersey. I am a 5 foot tall girl and my medium sized Vancouver jersey dwarfs me even with all my pads on. Check out a sizing chart just to be sure

Why did Harold Ballard/Leafs refuse to put names on back of jerseys when it was made mandatory?

I was just reading something about the history of NHL jerseys, and I came across that when the league made it mandatory to put names on the back of players jerseys, but the Leafs/Harold Ballard refused to so; and when the Leafs were forced to put names, they put names in the same colour as the jersey so it would barely be visible. Then the Leafs eventually gave in and put names in contrasting colours.

Does anyone know why they refused to do so? It's bugging me now. lol
It did not give an explanation on why, so I decided to do some research myself, but did not find an explanation...so I decided to come here and ask the wonderful people of the hockey section! =)

Can anyone help? It will be greatly appreciated.

I also wanted to ask a question that isnt stupid or pointless like a lot of the BS I have seen posted here lately. =]

What uncrested jersey should I get?

I'm thinking about getting an uncrested jersey just to play pickup hockey in. Uncrested meaning no logos or numbers. I can only get a NHL team one, so which team do you guys think has the coolest jersey design?

Why do the NY Rangers have and alternate jersey?

they started the 3rd jersey thing, to make more money from marketing jerseys. and, i guess they use it just often enough, so that people will consider shelling out some cash for the thing.

btw...i hate that jersey. seriously, u dont see the habs or leafs messing with tradition. boston, and new york have done a serious disservice to the legacy of their organizations.

Should i hand or machine wash a nhl jersey?

Whatever you do, do not dry clean it or use bleach. That will completely destroy it. You should be ok with either hand or machine washing though. I machine wash my leafs and sharks Jerseys all the time, and I have had the Sharks one for quite a long time, like 8 or 9 years and it is still like I just go it. So, without dry cleaning or bleaching it, you should be alright if you machine or hand wash your new jersey. Enjoy it, he is really carrying those Canucks this year.
