Which Of These Graphics Card Is Better For 720p Gaming

Does a gaming pc need a graphics card?

Yes, you need a discrete graphics card, and not an integrated graphics processor as those aren't very powerful and are incapable of running most games.

How come the PS3 has a 256mb graphics card and runs games better then 1gb graphics card on a PC? Can I buy a cheap graphics card and use some of the magic that Sony is using?

Aside from answers below (short versions - optimization of whole hardware towards video games on ps3, vs pc with lack of it), you have to take into consideration following differences:(And no, you can’t put it into PC, due to lack of compaibility.)Assuming you’re talking about game available for ps3 and pc(or at least made around same time), you should really look at details like:resolution - while ps3 upscales to 1080p, a lot of games for this console have max resolution of 720p (and after rendering in 720p upscales to 1080p, just like most tvs do - stretches it and makes some cheap adjustments to make it look like 1080p at first glance), and this might be a key difference. 720p has 921,600 pixels, 1080p has 2,073,600 - over twice as much data to render each frame for GPUcomplexity of graphics viewed - how good is your character/car look:Ambient details (water, flagspoles, grass, trees, bypassers - does it move, is it rare or abundant, how well it moves);shadows - does it have pixelated edges or has same shape as thing blocking light, does everything that should, have them?:light/shadows (flares, shadow resolution - , how torches look like, how light reflects from water or other shiny surfaces):how smooth are details like fences, floor tiles or other patterns:how far can you see - are things farther than xxx noticeable or it looks like deserted space and/or covered in a for(easiest thing to do for authors to lessen work for GPU - cover everything far away in a fog). Do you have to get really close, so the game could render it, or you can see farthest in the game from any place? When you’ll have same settings applied to both PS3 and PC version of the game, only then you could say that one GPU is better than another. And if for some reason the worse one is from PC - then it’s model made for trash compactor - maybe we’ve overlooked a bottleneck like slow CPU, background processes, like antiviruses (from what i remember, Panda, Norto and Kaspersky could eat up to 30–40% of my CPU during Lineage II play), or wore-down hdd.

Which is the best graphics card for 1080p gaming that run games at over 50 to 60 FPS?

Best budget graphics card according to your need: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050If you’re looking to dip your toes into the PC gaming waters without getting dunked, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 ($108 and up on Amazon) is the clear choice for entry-level gaming. Even better, you can often find custom models on sale for $99 after rebates.Things bunch up a bit more in the $200 to $250 range : AMD Radeon RX 580 (4GB)You can’t go wrong with any of these cards. They’re all excellent gaming options. Using the Radeon RX 580 (4GB) as a baseline, the RX 570 and 3GB GTX 1060 perform a little bit worse, while the cooler, much more power-efficient 6GB GeForce GTX 1060 performs a little better.

What if I have 6GB RAM that I need a graphics card for gaming?

Generally files from hard disk are moved to RAM for fast and quicker access and Gpu's RAM is used to store the graphics cache to reduce reentering and redrawing..Now Imagine the case without dedicated gpu both the file cache and graphics cache must be in RAM.. But RAM has finite frequency like 3600mhz 1200mhz etc for IOps so you would need ram with double frequency to have smoother experience.Size of 6gb or 8gb won't matter as it indicates size not the frequency at which ram operates.. You may be able to run bigger program that needs more ram like Adobe premiere or FC pro with high ramOn other caching files need faster storage like ssd else frequency will be throttled with respect to rpm of storage 5400 or 5900 or 7200.So ssd+ram+gpu is the only way to get best of gaming. Use ddr4 and nvme ssd for getting best out of best gaming. With modern cpus with inbuilt graphics you could do fine upto 720p gaming..On flip side of the coin some games require gpu as minimum system requirement. Without gpu playing them is kind of tricky.

Best graphics card for Dell XPS 420?

The power supply of your PC, 375 Watts, seriously limits graphics card upgrade options. Get a power Supply of 500 Watts.

DO NOT go for cheap Power Supply Units get a good Cooler Master or Corsair PSU. As for the graphics card, get a Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 or an XFX HD 6850 1GB GDDR5, these two can run any of the games on high settings at 720p resolution, the HD 6850 is slightly better then the HD 5770.

A question about graphics card.?

So, here's the thing - I want to buy a new graphics card but I have a low budget so I've decided to go for GT 1030 but the question how long will it last? I want to play 2016,17,18 and future games. I don't actually care about the graphics ( so i can lower the resolution even up to 720p) but I want smooth FPS or at least 30 or 25 FPS. So, is the card suitable for me? Sorry for the English it's not my native language.

Is there any difference between the graphics cards 1050T and 1050 Ti ? If so, which is better and how much does it really matter?

There's no graphics card named GTX 1050T. Two are GTX 1050 2gb and GTX 1050 TI 4gb.And Yes, you may call it huge difference.A GTX 1050 TI is presently the minimum requirement for 1080p gaming. It is also becoming outdated. Soon the GTX 1060 will be the minimum for 1080p gaming. The GTX 1050 comes with less CUDA cores and half the video memory (2gb) compared to the GTX 1050 TI (4gb). It's actually a 720p gaming graphics card as per today's standards. A GTX 1050 2gb is really useless for 1080p gaming (the 4gb laptop variant too). So, See that, going with GTX 1050 TI instead of GTX 1050 enables you to run games at 1080p resolution with sensible performance. So, it is right to say that there's a huge difference between the GTX 1050 TI and the GTX 1050.Hope it helps!

Is AMD Radeon HD 7640g a good gaming GPU?

I currently own an HP HDX 16 and these are my specs:

CPU: Intel Core Duo T9600GHz @ 2.8GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR2
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 130m with Cuda
Res: 1080p

I am looking at a laptop right now at my local Staples store and I want a laptop that I can play CoD at Extra Settings with about and Battlefield 3 at Mid-High Settings. Right now I play MW3 at 1080p with Extra Setting and No Anti-Aliasing with 40-60 FPS. I play Battlefield 3 at Lowest Resolution and Lowest Setting and No Anti-Aliasing with about 20-25 FPS.

The Laptop I'm Looking at is an HP DV6-7010us - Specs:

CPU: AMD Quad Core A8-4500M
RAM: 6GB DDR3
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7640g Discrete Class
Resolution: 900p

Here's the Link: http://www.staples.com/HP-Pavilion-dv6-7010us-156-Laptop/product_932061

I know that the CPU and RAM is better than what I have especially RAM since its DDR3 but Graphics I'm not too sure. If it is a good Graphics Chip then I can deal with 900p, It'll be hard to step down from 1080p to 900p but I'm willing to sacrifice it if it can run Battlefield 3 at 720p at Mid-High Settings.

I'm kind of iffy on the price though. The graphics is a 7640g which would seem like a good chip and it says Discrete Class which is Dedicated but price is kind of low if it is a good gaming laptop.

So in this case, Should I go with the 7640g or stick with my 130m????

THANKS!

Is Intel HD 630 integrated graphics (core i5 8400) enough for casual gaming and normal video editing, or should I buy a dedicated graphics card?

If you are willing to play on 720p lowest settings on 18–20 fps (Except E-sport games like CSGO, FIFA, DOTA etc) then it will do the job.E-sport games will run fine.PS: Provided you have at least 8GB of RAM
