Many people think the Dodgers are capable of winning this series because of their solid pitching and timely hitting. However, if the Red Sox that destroy the Astros solid pitching shows up in this series, the Dodgers are done.

The Rays in 6. Philly is a great team, but the Rays are a better team. Cole Hammels and Brad Lidge can't pitch for the Phils every night. The Rays beat the Red Sox, who in my opinion was obviously the team to beat. They were defending champs. It is only appropriate that the Rays win. The Rays have a great bullpen and all of their starters for the most part have been great. The Rays are 10-5 lifetime vs. the Phils and 12-6 in interleague play this season. Clearly they are better than the NL teams they have faced. Game 3 has Garza pitching and Game 4 has Sonnastine pitching. These guys did a great job against the Sox. I feel it will be a hard fought battle, with the Rays winning in 6.

Who do you think who is going to win the world series. Colorado Rockies or the Cleveland Indians. why?
While I must admit I'm biased by being a Rockies fan, there are many points that can be argued that should lead to the Rockies winning the World Series, regardless of who they play. The first and most obvious reason is the run they've put together to make it to this point. To win 21 of 22 games against the 3 BEST teams in the National League (plus the contending Dodgers), you need more than just luck. This team just has so much talent, and that "x-factor" where the players just get it done every night. Offensively, the Rockies have an extremely solid lineup, top to bottom, with anybody able to get the big hit in the right situation. In fact, 11 different players have driven in the winning run during our hot stretch. This lineup has scored the 2nd most runs in the NL despite being in the pitching-dominant NL West. Defensively, the Rockies are most dominant in all aspects. This defense has saved us from losing a good number of games, and doesn't give other teams any extra outs. This defense has set the major league record for team defense in any regular season, which has greatly contributed to their success. Finally, the adage that pitching wins games in the playoffs is ringing true once again with the Rockies. The Rockies have the best team ERA in the NL since the All-Star break, and a miniscule 2.08 ERA in the postseason. With all these aspects of the game clicking right now, the Rockies have become practically unbeatable. True, they do have a long layoff, but the difference between the Rockies and last year's Tigers is defense. The Tigers lost because of errors they gave the Cards, while I don't see the Rockies struggling with that. With excellent defense, excellent pitching, and timely hitting, I can't see the Rockies losing 4 games with the way they've been playing, long layoff or not. My prediction is that if the Rockies play the Indians, they'll win in six. If they play the Red Sox, they'll win in five (Beckett can't pitch every night).

You know what, im a die hard yanks fan, my whole life, BUT ill be honest here- Texas beats us in 6 Philly beats San Fran is 5 Texas Vs. Philly Texas wins- they are more hungry for a championship, i believe they never won a championship before? but anyways, texas has the best offense, and there pitching seems on target in the playoffs,i gotta give props to Ron Washington, he really perfected this team, congrats texas you guys have really proven yourselfs, i gotta respect that. I can’t be biased as these are my two favorite teams in baseball.So asking me to be biased here is like asking me to tell you which of my thumbs is my favorite. My answer is both, I don’t want to lose either.So, looking at this as a matter of realism, I would project that either scenario is possible. For some odd reason the Cleveland Indians just aren’t learning how to lose games this season.They seem incapable of it. At first I thought it was just a fluke, then they won 14 consecutive games, and haven’t lost more than 3 in a row in the entire season. That’s freakin’ amazin’. So I’m like “is this just reality now? The Indians are good again?”If they maintain this pace, I can absolutely see them winning the world series this year. And so can FiveThirtyEightWith that said, the only team I think that could beat them would be the Chicago Cubs. And fivethirtyeight also seems to agree with that projection.That’s a pretty good problem in my eyes. Who is going to win the 2020 World Series, based on the prospects they have currently?
Baseball is an incredibly difficult sport to pick winners, on any given day, a player can have the best or worst game of his life, and help determine the outcome. That being said, I would have to consider the Red Sox IF all teams play with current rosters matured 2 years. That being said, one of the most high-profile free agencies is coming up this offseason with all signs leading to Bryce Harper leaving the Nationals and quite possibly earning the largest contract in MLB history. Considering the teams that would be comfortable paying a potentially $500m+ contract, that prediction could shift dramatically. The most likely landing spots for Harper would be the Dodgers, Cubs, Yankees, or Red Sox, all of which have formidable young talents and are already World Series contenders. I would say if any of those four teams sign Harper this offseason, they would certainly become favorites to win the World Series for years to come.

i think the rays are going to win because i think scott kazmir is going to pitch a good game and cole hamels pitches bad under pressure, like on july 25 08 he played my favorite team the braves in philly and he gave up 9 runs in three innings i see the rays winning in 7 just because they are going to win tonite and go back to tampa and win two games

It can't be the Mets nor Angels: Mets: Don't know about Pedro and his impact Angels: They got no good pitchers yet. And who says the Tigers will be the WS Champs this year? Got beat by the Royals, shutout 1 time. As for the Yankees, I don't know if Joe Girardi can hold up with the old pitchers, he can't always rely on the young trio, A-Rod Ks most of the time he's at-bat. Expect no 95 games win from the Yankees, Mets, Angels or Tigers. I think it'll be the Cleveland Indians' turn this year.
