Why Do People Go To Five Star Restaurants

What do people mean by "five star restaurant"?

Stars are a representation of an arbitrary rating system, based on a given scale, created by someone who wishes to express a value system for a specific set of criteria...usually followed by the reasoon(s) for such a rating.

Some systems use forks, for restaurants to rate the quality of the food.
Some use dlollar signs ($) to indicate the expense level of a given product.
Musical notes can be used for anything dealing with music like concerts, bands, etc..
Some just use numbers.

Scales can vary, but they're usually based on a one to ten scale, or one to five scale, but the scale can be any numbers the maker of the rating syatem wants to use. One to one hunderd would work as well.

Why do people bring dogs into restaurants?

How could the owner be blind if he walked to the salad bar? The dog wasn't "emotional support" because the man wasn't in a panic. The dog was his pet, period. However, I did get a free meal, I won't be back to pay my bill. How clean is that kitchen?

Why do people go to restaurant and ask for plastic eat ware...?

Because some people have to be difficult and the center of attention at all times.

Why do people patronize restaurants?

Is this for a culinary class? I don't think they mean anything specific by patronize. I think the question is just asking, "Why do people go to restaurants and pay money to eat food there?"

Some answers could be:
It's more convenient than buying something at the store, cooking it at home, and cleaning up the mess.
Don't know how to cook.
Don't want to cook.
Too lazy too cook.
Looking for a social environment and gathering place.
Special occasion or celebration.
Change of scenery.
A signature dish or flavor that you can't achieve at home. (McDonalds French Fries, Your Favorite Pizza, Lobster)

Why do people go to restaurant and ask for plastic eat ware...?

Some people believe that the eating utensils that are re-washed over and over in restaurants aren't clean and that plastic ones come in a bag (presumably fresh and untouched) will be clean. Also some people can't stand the taste or feel of metal in their mouths.

When at a restaurant, why do people blow their nose while sitting at the table?

Are they just too lazy to get up and go to the restroom? I find this to be both rude and discusting!! Would it be wrong for me to say something to the person that does this? I mean, how can I actually enjoy or even eat my food when this is going on at the table next to me?!
