Why do guys get nervous around girls, but girls don't seem to get nervous around guys?
Humans have a tendency to assume the worst about any interaction, going over it in our minds afterwards and beating ourselves up over every perceived misstep. In reality, we come across quite differently than we think we do. In fact, research shows that in most cases, we come across better than we think we do.What does this have to do with your question? I'm going to assume you're a guy. You know how you feel when you talk to a girl you like, and you know how other guys feel when they talk to girls they like, because they've told you. What you don't know is how you were perceived by the girl you talked to. She can't see inside your mind to see how nervous you are, and may not even know.The same is true with girls. You can't see inside their minds when they talk to their crush. While they may come off as cool and collected, in reality they are just as nervous inside as you are when you talk to your crush.As an example of how you can't know what's in someone's mind or how they're feeling when they talk to you, let me tell you about me. I am an introvert who had a very public job. I had to control meetings that were attended by 500–600 people, all of whom were angry and upset by what my agency proposed to do. I had to be pleasant and understanding while keeping iron control over the meeting so it didn't devolve into a riot. Any one of the people who attended those meetings would tell you that I was cool under pressure, and many times I've had people shake my hand and tell me how amazing I am, because they would never be able to do my job, they'd be too nervous and wouldn't be able to speak. Well, I was terrified before every meeting. I was so nervous that I had to take medication to control my terrible stress-induced diarrhea (sorry for the TMI).None of those strangers ever knew how nervous I was, the girls you talk to don't realize how nervous you are, and you don't realize how nervous the girls are as they talk to you. It's just human nature.
How Do Nervous Girls Act Around Guys They Like?
usually... they'll avoid eye contact some. laugh a lot. blush. sometimes they won't talk as much or act as crazy as they usually do. they will probably be more introverted because they don't know what you'd think of the other side of them. but that doesn't mean they're boring. it'll just take her a little time to get comfortable around you. she'll probably focus on and make comments about things around you/people around you. hope that helped. :)

Well, I'm sure this has been stated in other responses to your question, but he is evidently shy. If he's anything like me, he wants to make the first move, but just can't. He worries too much of what you think, you're response to be specific, as he'd rather be close to you as a friend than shot down and maybe lose all chance of talking to you again.. It is completely obvious he likes you though, and if you like him back, maybe you can make the first move? Again, if he would act anything like me, he would really appreciate it, so much so, that he would bring himself to do things in future. You would have given him a great gift, and he'd do anything for you after that, without fail. He would not allow himself to fail, so you'd probably both be happy after that.. If you do have feelings for him of course. He is nice and sweet, because he thinks you deserve any goodness in existence, and if he can be the one to bestow these things upon you, it would be one of the greatest honours in the world for him. I know with the girl that I like, if I knew that I'd made her happy, I couldn't describe how happy I'd feel. Another reason he rarely speaks is that maybe he's worried he'll say something you won't approve of, and he doesn't want to lose you, so even if it means being silent for the rest of his life to gain your affections, he'll do it. After all, if he is like me, he will do anything for you. I apologise for consistently using word such as I, me, my and such, I do not usually talk of myself, but this situation seems so similar to mine, i can't help but do so.. Cause we're afraid we will say or do something stupid and you won't like us. Or if you don't like us it will be too obvious that we DO like you.

Yes Im like this and I don't know why. I find it easy to talk to any guy and even flirt with them, but I find it hard to be my self and become nervous and quiet around the one guy I really like. I even become stand-offish towards him as I don't want to get hurt. But the way I guess I show I like him is that I often look at him, alot.

Okay so I've known this guy for about two years. And today in class I tried to talk to him about what had happen two weeks ago! Two weeks ago he told me that he didn't want to have conversations with me but only want to say hi and bye! And it kind of hurt my feelings because I I'm really ugly and my personality is the only thing I've got going for me so when he said he that it made me feel as though I had a horrible personality! So today I asked him why and he said that he was nervous around girls! And I kept asking him about it because I wanted to know the truth! But that's all he said! That's the only excuse that he gave me! So why would he be nervous around me? Is it because he doesn't want me to think that he likes me because I'm ugly? I know he doesn't! What do you think?

Guys are very weird with flirting... well most.... some will flirt by compleatly avoiding you others by being a compleat jerk to you and then some guys are so nervous they stutter when they talk to you. Either way most guys get nervous when their around a girl they like. at least thats what my boyfriend told me. He also told me that guys are always nervous around girls they like but it all depends on what type of guy they are such as the guy's a player he'll be a compleat jerk and do some of the most immature things ever just because he thinks he's impressing you or he's trying to be cool around you. Normal cute yet Smart Boys on the other hand will be nervous around you all the time but yet they'll talk to you by complementing you and being as nice as possible, Shy guys will completly avoid you because their so nervous so yea most guys do get nervous.
