Why Is Sleep Important

Why is sleep so important?

Sleep allows your body to rejuvenate from a day of abuse (i.e. working, stress, etc.) It is important to your body's chemical makeup, as well as your psychological makeup, which effects your emotional balance. Beauty is a difficult characteristic to gauge. IWe live in a society plagued by images of supermodels (male and female) that are almost impossible to live up to. Yet I have seen really beautiful (i.e. attractive, good looking) people appear really ugly through their words, their attitudes, and their expressions. I would rather spend time with a person who is beautiful "on the inside" because (even with these super-models) the outside will change. Most of us make up the "average" (i.e. middle) We're not UGLY, nor are we the most BEAUTIFUL folks around. Therefore, we need to make the BEST of what we have been given. For example, If you NEED makeup, use makeup, but recognize there is much to be said for the natural look (In other words, don't LOOK LIKE you use makeup). Sleep allows your body to recharge for the new day. Read the links below and I hope this is helpful!

How important is sleep?

I’ve beaten this one to death over the years at TalentSmart, and can’t say enough about the importance of quality sleep to improving your mood, focus, and self-control.When you sleep, your brain literally recharges, removing toxic proteins that accumulate during the day as by-products of normal neuronal activity.Unfortunately, your brain can remove them adequately only while you're asleep. So when you don't get enough sleep, the toxic proteins remain in your brain cells, wreaking havoc by impairing your ability to think—something no amount of caffeine can fix.Your self-control, attention, and memory are all reduced when you don’t get enough—or the right kind—of sleep. Sleep deprivation raises stress hormone levels on its own, even without a stressor present, which are a major productivity killer. Ambition often makes you feel as if you must sacrifice sleep to stay productive, but sleep deprivation diminishes your productivity so much throughout the day that you're better off sleeping.Getting enough quality sleep ensures that you wake up alert and clear-headed. Happy people make sleep a priority, because it makes them feel great and they know how lousy they feel when they’re sleep deprived. To learn more from me, check out my award-winning book that’s a #1 best seller.

Why is sleep important for learning?

A lack of sleep can greatly affect the human brain and body function in general.Various studies show that those who didn't obey the oppressive regime of their parents, and stayed up past bedtime (YouTube is an addicting thing) had reduced metabolism and blood flow. These reductions result in many negative effects occurring in the brain. These effects include a lack of attention, which is vital to learning and absorbing new information, memory skills which are essential to retaining this knowledge, and cognitive speed which may hinder the understanding of concepts. All of these cognitive impediments are due to a lack of sleep and result in many issues involving learning, showing the importance of sleep and its causation to the absorption of information.
