Will A Honda Cbr300f Be Enough For Me To Ride To And From Work

Is a Honda CBR300r a decent starter motorcycle?

About a week ago I asked the community if a Honda CBR600rr is a good starter motorcycle for a 17 year old. Well I received many answers saying that it is not fun to ride a 160mph racing bike on the street and that I'd easily get into an accident, which is probably true. I've been doing some research and I've come across the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Honda CBR300r, which I've heard are great starter bikes. I prefer the Honda because it's lighter than the Kawasaki and it has a much nicer design. The engine on the Honda is only a 286cc which is probably enough for me since I'm only going to ride it to school and around my town. I'm not risking my life on the highway I'll tell you that! What are your guy's honest opinions?

Is there any method to start a bike without having the key?

Step 1Locate the ignition wiring coming out of the handlebar area. There will three coloured wires bundled together in a wiring sleeve.Step 2Look along the wiring sleeve until you find the point where the three coloured wires end with a plastic wiring cap along the body of the bike. The cap will have another group of wires plugged into.Step 3Pull the caps apart and let the ignition wiring hang down. Hold onto the lower portion of wiring.Step 4Insert one end of the speaker wire into one of the eyes of cap socket. Bend the wire and insert the other end into another eye. If you don't see the light of the bike turn on along with the click of the engine, try inserting the wires in a different combination until you get results.Step 5Press the ignition button on the throttle to start the motorcycle engine.Warning.Never try this with a vehicle that you don't own or don't have permission.

Your opinion on minimum motorcycle power (cc's) for highway/interstate driving?

I have a motorcycle license, and they trained me on a honda rebel (250cc), and other similar bikes back then.
I am not buying a bike now, but thought a honda rebel would likely be a first bike.
A motorcyclist said the minimum power for a bike driving on an interstate would be 600. Less than that and if you get in trouble, you won't have the power to get things done. (But, I drive a 1.5L stock '88 civic hatchback. It has little power and it's okay).
The speedometer on that rebel showed 85, I remeber, as the max.
So it can certainly do 65 on the highway.
Question, will it do 65 on the highway comfortably for 100 mile trip?
The guy said I would literally blow the engine, keeping the rpm's/speed up that high for so many miles. It would overheat, or maybe need maintenance a lot more often.
There is a video I watched of a rebel driving 80 on the highway with ease. So,

another person told me it will have unsafe road control, pot holes would be lethal at that speed on such a light, tiny bike, etc.

The reason I was looking at such a light, low-powered bike was to get maximum fuel economy, just like the civic hatchback.
Your thoughts.

How do cc's relate to car engine displacement. would 250cc be like 1.5L?
