Will The Obamacare Be Exactly Like The Wisconsin Badgercare = Don

Medicine and Healthcare: What is the difference between Medicaid and Obamacare?

Medicaid:Medicaid is a social welfare program designed to provide healthcare coverage for the poor in the United States. Certain people with disabilities can also qualify. Funded both by the federal government and individual state governments, the healthcare program was created to help provide health insurance to people lacking the money or resources to afford coverage. Each state has its own eligibility requirements and policies. The key thing here is: it’s a health insurance program that’s provided and run by the government.Obamacare:Health plans under Obamacare are not provided or run by the government; the government merely helps you find affordable, health coverage through its health insurance exchange (Health Insurance Marketplace ’s “Marketplace”). In some cases, though, you may qualify for an Obamacare subsidy (a sum money from the government to offset some costs) to help you pay part of your monthly health insurance premiums.“Obamacare” doesn’t actually refer to a specific health insurance plan or program. When people say “I have Obamacare,” what they actually mean is “I’m covered by a health plan made available through Obamacare.” The Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) made it so that private health insurers could provide consumers with more affordable healthcare options.Important to note: plans offered by private insurers through the Marketplace (“on-exchange”) differ from healthcare plans that those same private insurers offer outside the Marketplace (“off-exchange”). You can read more about those differences and why they’re different here.

Will my Badgercare coverage end after my 19th birthday?

No, WI is not expanding welfare so yes, your coverage will end on your birthday.

The law that says you can stay on "until 26" is only for people that actually pay for their care.

It amazes me how people on welfare can afford college.

EDIT for your additional comments ▬ I couldn't afford college and we didn't qualify for welfare and grants were few and far between and fafsa was unheard of. I went into the military when I graduated because that was all there was. I didn't go to college until 10 years later, then I had to spend the next 10 years going to night school while I held down 2 jobs. I don't know what a silver spoon is.

Badgercare = Medicaid = welfare. It is all the same. It amazes me how few people know what they've got.

If Obamacare was such a good health care plan then why are Wisconsin unions unwilling to accept it as theirs?

Because even Stevie Wonder could see that 0bamacare is a scam, plus those union criminals have a much better plan at taxpayer expense

Why do you liberals want Wisconsin to go completely under?

Liberals want the WHOLE country to go down. Just look at Pelosi's deficits!

Why is it considered illegal to not have health insurance?

How do I avoid paying for Health insurance in America and still be legal? In the U.S. it is NOT “illegal” to opt out of obtaining Health Insurance.Your choices as an alternative of securing “essential health benefits” are:Pay the Tax PenaltySeek an ExemptionThe Tax Penalty for 2016 is 2.5% of your total household Adjusted Gross Income, or $695 per adult and $347.50 per child to a maximum of $2,085.The tax/penalty can be considered an opportunity cost of purchasing your health insurance. In other words, you are foregoing the $2,085 (savings) off the cost of health insurance if you chose to secure coverage.Though not a huge incentive, in your example, $1,500/month or $18,000 per year would actually be net cost to you of $15,915.No doubt, that is a lot of money. Yet your exposure to a catastrophic loss because of unforeseen medical expenses to you or one of your family members is exponentially higher.

Why is health care so expensive?

Because it is subsidized by a cash cow. Medical services are paid largely through Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance companies. It is up to the medical providers creativity to document and bill for any little thing they might get away with. A pill given in a hospital might be billed out at $4 while outside the hospital an entire bottle might cost $4. Any request, any thing consumed, any referral made, any visit by an medical type is documented and billed regardless of length of time spent with the patient. It's a money maker. Under these circustances it isn't likely a customer (patient) would balk at the price and seek a better deal. Also, when there is an emergency, the patient doesn't have much leverage for negotiation.

Political poll. Government controlled health care, Yes or No and Why?

no, but your question is irrelevant anyway
FIRST OF ALL, THERE WILL BE NO NATIONALIZATION OF HEALTH CARE!
[I go to the Dallas VA Medical Center and the government doesn’t even run THAT!]
There is NO "OBAMA CARE" The plan[s] are being built by congress.
The ONLY THING THE GOVERNMENT WANTS TO DO IS ADD AN OPTION:
NON-PROFIT INSURANCE FOR THE POOR & UNEMPLOYED
There are 45 million Americans who have NO health care options except Emergency Rooms!
The USA is 37TH in HEALTH CARE!
These are NOT my idea of the best!
THE WORST POSSIBLE CHOICE IS TO DO NOTHING!
Health care costs are:
Increasing 2-3 times faster than wages
Currently eating up 18% of our money
AND, WILL DESTROY OUR ECONOMY UNLESS WE FIX IT!

Want to know WHO DOESN’T want ANY CHANGE?
THE INSURANCE COMPANIES!
THEY EAT 40% OF EVERY HEALTH CARE DOLLAR.
For what we are already paying, WE COULD INSURE EVERY MAN, WOMAN & CHILD IN AMERICA WITH ZERO DEDUCTIBLE, ZERO COPAY COVERAGE!

OK, SO HOW WILL THEY PAY FOR IT?
>DRUG DISCOUNTS
>ELIMINATING WASTE
>LOCKING UP PEOPLE WHO COMMIT FRAUD
>CONCENTRATING ON PREVENTATIVE CARE
[Currently, the only option for the poor is the E.R. at county hospitals and that’s THE MOST EXPENSIVE CARE THERE IS!]

Why do democrats and union crybabies in Wisconsin continue to whine about Scottt Walker?

If the state doesn't have money to pay you, it doesn't have it. Where is the magic money going to come from to support your ridiculous benefits for your slack jobs? You want a pension, pay for it yourself. Don't expect the rest of the taxpayers to cover it.

If Romney becomes president, what would happen to my healthcare and student loans?

My family and I live in Wisconsin. My husband and I both work full time and have two toddlers. We have a middle class income. Our healthcare plan is in through the state (BadgerCare Plus), however because of our income, we pay for our benefits like any other normal policy. Going through BadgerCare Plus as opposed to my work does save us around $100 a month, though. I'm wondering how Romney would affect our healthcare; I guess I really don't understand how his healthcare plan would work. I'm concerned that we will lose our current policy and I would be forced to take a more expensive policy. Right now, healthcare is the only reason I am leaning toward Obama because if he stays in office it shouldn't change. That being said, the economy is so rough, I cringe every time I have to buy necessities. I used to have a few thousand in the bank as cushion, and I've had to dip into that because the price of everything has gone up. I want the economy to get better, which I think Romney might be able help with, but I fear that our healthcare would suffer. Does anyone have info on Romney's healthcare plans? Maybe paying more for healthcare is a risk I have to take to see an improvement in our economy? I am just sick of financially suffering, even though we work so hard and have really good jobs (I work for the local TV station and my husband works for GM).

Also, my husband and I both have student loans to pay off. Would Romney raise our interest rates? I have tried to research this myself, but it seems like what one site says, another refutes. I'm sure I'll see the same thing here, but figured I'd give it a shot. Thanks!
