1. What Do You Think About The Rush Of Some U.s. Citizens To Buy A Peerage

Should the U.S. get rid of the electoral college and allow its citizens to elect presidents by the popular vote or another method?

Yes, of course. A popular vote does not require a constitutional amendment. Google “National Popular Vote Interstate Compact,” a de facto popular voting system. The Electoral College suppresses voter power. Different people have more political power. It is possible to win 23% of the popular vote, less than a quarter of all people, and win the EC.Cons of ECVoters in non-swing states are neglected. The EC does not reflect the will of the majority, simply put it.Some voters have more voting power, measured by voting power per capita.Candidates could win 23% of the popular vote and win the EC. How To Win The Presidency With 23 Percent Of The Popular VoteLower voter turnout. Voters are more likely to vote if they know their vote won’t be discounted by the fact that their state is winner-take-all, and possibly a strong state for a particular political party.Pros of the ECEasy to recount elections.Pros of the EC?Claim: EC requires more geographically diverse support.Reality: Geography doesn’t matter in a nationwide election. People do. Where someone lives should not affect the weight of their vote.Reality: A popular vote requires broad support – the support of real people. See Reality #2 under “Claim: Small states will be ignored” for statistics.Claim: The EC has been with us for over 200 years, and has worked well.Reality: Logical fallacy. It is a logical fallacy that, just because something is old, it should not be reformed. The EC has not worked well. 2000, 2016. The EC does not reflect the will of the actual amount of people. It does impose rule of the minority over the majority.Claim: Widespread voter fraud will be a problem in a popular vote.Reality: Widespread voter fraud doesn’t exist. It’s a non-issue.Claim: Small states will be ignored.Reality: States don’t matter in a nationwide election. People do. State boundaries should not matter in a nationwide election if the elected official represents the entire nation.Reality: Statistics say the popular vote leads to equal attention during campaigns. According to actual statistics related to popular vote elections within states, the nation’s most professional campaigners and politicians, with the advice of the best campaign strategists and advisors, organized campaign events proportionally to a region’s population, giving everyone in the state equal voice to other citizens in the state. In fact, there was a very slight skew in favor of rural areas.

What is the appeal in hunting?

It stems from genetics....believe it or not...if your ancestors were not successful hunters....you would not be here today answering that question....think of it this way...only in the last few hundred years, as mankind been able to purchase their food in a centralized location.

The fun is in the challenge...deer are not easy to kill...but are prized eating....and when you kill one....a lot effort has went into it....a tremendous amount...so you are pleased when fate smiles on you...and you achieve a kill.

Some people do take books..some little video games...but the most enjoyable thing is to watch nature....see an occasional bob cat...or coyote...or see a hawk swoop down on a squirrel for his dinner.... And sometimes I hunt, and just watch the deer ....without shooting anything....just going for the pure enjoyment of time well spent in nature...away from the insanity of mankind...and the noise and the pollution.....and jungles made of concrete.

All the things above....are the things that make hunting appealing to me.....and other things also.....it lets you think....and meditate...and in so doing, you can solve all the worlds problems...and perhaps think of lost loves, and of a love yet to be found.

I went to great pains to explain all this to you...but you will not understand...you live in a world of noise....and distraction...tv, radios, and cell phones...constant distractions..and you lose sight of what is important in life....and you know nothing about nature... Such is life.

Is 'RUSH' a Jewish Surname?

Rush Name Meaning and History

English: topographic name for someone who lived among rushes, from Middle English rush (a collective singular, Old English rysc), or perhaps an occupational name for someone who wove mats, baskets, and other articles out of rushes.

Irish: reduced Anglicized form of Gaelic Ó Ruis ‘descendant of Ros’, a personal name perhaps derived from ros ‘wood’. In Connacht it has also been used as a translation of Ó Luachra (see Loughrey).

Irish: Anglicized form (translation) of Gaelic Ó Fuada, ‘descendant of Fuada’ a personal name meaning ‘hasty’, ‘rushing’ (see Foody).

Altered spelling of German Rüsch or Rusch (see Rusch) or Rosch.

There could have been Jewish people living near or working with rushes, or who were hasty, back in the middle ages when they started using surnames.

The 1881 Canadian census asked religion. It is free, from the Mormons:

It is the only free census that has religion. I looked at people named Rush (born 1835 - 1845, to get heads of households; if Mom & Pop are Jewish, Catholic or Protestant, the kids will be too, generally). One was a Deist. The rest (I just looked at 10) were Protestant or Catholic. That doesn't mean there wasn't a Jewish Rush there, though.

Why Is The Divorce Rate SO High Among CHristians?

The US Census Reports and US National Divorce Statistics at present show that the religious group with the highest divorce rate are Christians in particular the evangelical and southern baptist sects. Their rate of divorce is even HIGHER than couples professiing no relgious affiliation or to be atheist. Even more surprising its the conservative RED state- Texas and not California, New York or even Nevada that is the LEADING divorce state in the USA.

Now the reason I ask this is because CHristians LOVE to proclaim their religious standards of family life the HIGHEST ones. How come the facts don't support this? Secondly, is their problem that they've completely outlawed pre-marital sex for their followers resulting in their young people getting married TOO young in order to have sex? After all, waiting till you finish college, get a job, house and then getting married will mean being celibate till you are around 25-29. That's a LONG time when your hormones are at its peak. Opinions?

If the FRENCH did not help the AMERICAN during AMERICAN REVOLUTION, will we still gain our independence?!?

If the FRENCH did not help the AMERICAN during AMERICAN REVOLUTION, will we still gain our independence from the BRITISH?!?

If not, when and how will American gain their independence then? Will it be in the early of 20st century, like the other British colonies all over the world...?
