18th Birthday Party Ideas?

It depends on a lot of things - how much you want to spend, how many people you want to invite, whether you want it wild or low-key.

If you're after a wild, never-forget party night -
Invite lots of people for a BBQ (beach, house or rented hall/property), the more the merrier for this sort of party. Put together lots of simple BBQ food, plus a massive cake. Get everyone to have BYO alcohol (this is assuming your in an 18 legal age country, like Australia), and you just supply a tonne of jelly shots cos they're are cheap, yet loads of fun (literally with 2 bottles of champagne and 2 packets of lime jelly mix you get 100 shots [champagne jelly shots are actually really yum], plus get a bottle of vodka and three/four packets of stawberry jelly and you get another 200 shots, so for about $60 theres 300 shots of fun). The drawback of this though is it can get exxy supplying food or everyone.

If you want an intimate, low-key, low-cost event with close friends -
Pick a nice restaurant and go out to dinner (everyone pays for their own). Have a really decadent cake made for you and your friends to share, then go out clubbing.

If you have a group of close friends who are into a similar thing -
Plan a weekend where all you do is that "thing" (you didn't say if you are a guy or a girl, so I'll suggest ideas for both). Guys - If you are all into cars or something, spend a weekend out at a car event (or fishing, camping, whatever you are into). Girls - You can pack up your friends, go camping at a nice spot or go to a beachside resort and spend the weekend drinking and giving each other nice beauty treatments along with relaxing in the sun.

Ideas for my 18th Birthday Party?

I'm having an 18th soon too, and I;m just having a bunch of people around, some music, some drinks and it's gonna be really chill but fun :)

Just gonna be settingup a stero in my back yard, an open fire, and 20-30 friends there. I'm havng a theme too, a black and white theme, so everyone has to dress in black and white but I'll be wearing a red dress :D

I'm setting up some nice things like a video camera that people can go off to at some point during the night and record happy brthday messages, an idea i got off a friend and it will be really cute to watch over them the next day :D

I'm planning on having things like a punch bowl, a book for people to sign, and my sister is acting as a photographer for the night.

My mum is amazing at making cakes, so she's gonna make me something yummy and awesome to sing happy birthday around.

Its taking a little bit of planning but it's totally gonna be worth it, feel free to steal any ideas and build on them for your own party.

Whatever you decide to do, hope you have heaps of fun!! :D

Best Friends 18th Birthday party ideas?

i guess you could have done with an answer a few days ago really, so you dont have much time to prepare! a quick ring round all your friends for a surprise party would be awesome! if you could meet at some nearby park at a certain time, take her there and all have a picnic and eat cake together or something!

throwing money around does make it look more impressive but really its the people that make the party - and the surprise to it! (if she can handle surprises) what would be an awesome thing to do is if you and your friends put on an act for her and did a cover of one of her favourite songs, im sure youd be aweful in comparison to professional singers but in that case,t he worse you are the funnier it is! she totally wouldnt expect that and itd be a good laugh ^^ if you have access to any musical or wannabe musical equipment! could be somethign to plan for next year with a bit more organising.

the only other thing i can think of off the top of my head with such little time to prepare is a twister mat! probably not the greatest sense of freedom you will get to be honest but its definitely a game to escape strict environments ^^ best of luck, whatever you do will be awesome no doubt! the fact that youre asking shows it means a lot to you that she has a good one :D so im certain she will for that reason!

What are some good ideas for a birthday party for an 18-year-old?

That depends upon who is throwing the party. If she/he is giving the treat or if others are celebrating his/her birthday. So i’ll like to say little about both the situations. In case she/he is giving treatIf he/she is giving party to collage or school friends she can go out at any beautiful restaurants or cafe. Or if he/she is not ok with going outside then food can b packed for friends n some fun can b added by having some games. If s/he is giving treat to family members then s/he can take them to any beautiful place specially at night. Or they can throw a get together at home with delicious food.In case of others throwing partyFriends can take s/he to any restaurant or party places.Parents can similarly take them to out for dinner or place a get together for them along with their friends. One thing that is must ,priority in any option should b taste of birthday boy/girl if it is party from others and vice-versa.

Low key 18th birthday party ideas, please?

You could hire one of those big bell tents :) Have a sleepover, very pretty and classy, but also quite pricey.
How about setting up a food table. I recently went to a 16th party, and there was huge table full of food - cupcakes, rocky road, pizza, chicken (you could grill the chicken), bowls of carrot sticks and celery and you could make a big punch bowl. We listened to music, watched DVDs, played games..
Decorate some cupcakes, order a couple of pizzas (or make them yourselves!), get vegetarian meat equivalents for the dieters, lots of carrot sticks at hand, and make rainbow fruit skewers mmm :) You could even have a chocolate fountain to dip the chocolate in.
Order in a movie (ask around, see what people think of - we watched Project X and it was hilarious), play on a games console (we played rock band).
This one party I went to, set up bowls of sweets, and we had little bags and scoops like a pick and mix. Her mum mixed up a big bowl of popcorn (it was s'mores popcorn they'd made) and we watched a film liked in a cinema :) Then we set up a bonfire, drank punch and roasted marshmallows and it was lush. It was cold though, so we had blankets.
Anything is fun when you have friends by, and well done for being concerned for their dietry requirements :)

Should an 18 year old want a birthday party?

Celebrate the heck out of the beginning of your adult life. ‘It’s gonna suck, and you’re going to love it’, get the reference?Eighteen is a tricky age. If you’re going through the phase of ‘defining your personality’ and you suddenly realize that all that is superficial, you wish to stick to the real things in life, you want to see the bigger picture, you want to be one with the world rather than some small individual having a little party…then you might not want one. But if you’re realizing that every day is a special day and you must cherish this moment as an occasion to be with your loved ones, you would want a birthday party. And even if you’re just psyched about turning eighteen, being legal to driving, voting and alcohol, you would definitely want a big bash.Go out with your friends, do karaoke, cook your favorite breakfast, ice the bruises from your birthday bumps. Allow yourself to be irrational for the day, you like books? Buy ten of them at once. Go to a cosplay party, be whoever you want. Order a huge cake and spend next two weeks competing with yourself to finish it. Go crazy, go all out. You don't get to be eighteen that often.(image source - www.cakefite.com)
