24 Hour Cafes In Bristol Uk

Why can't you buy alcohol after 10pm in the UK?

It's September 2017 and I'm in Scotland since 1 week.I'm from the south east of UK where opening hours of shops, restaurants, etc are different and I've been adjusting.Last night — a Saturday night — in Tescos at 10.30pm to stock up the fridge for Sunday morning breakfast I picked up a bottle of Smirnoff ice as my gf usually drinks that when we're out and tonight it's beginning to feel like we're staying home“you can't buy alcohol in supermarkets after 10pm in Scotland”so it's as if we would be forced to go out if she fancied a Smirnoff Ice, and wouldn't be allowed to sit on the couch watching a movie enjoying the drink.By comparison, my local Tescos near my home near london would have sold it until 11pm.

Where to go, Brighton or Weymouth? Reasons please!?

Want to go away just for a few days, but am taking a 3 year old with me too!

Looking at either Weymouth, or Brighton, but need to be able to do a few thing whilst staying there.. ie, Weymouth has sealife centre and Monkey World.. Brighton has a sealife centre but not much else apart from being really nice!

Have only stayed in Brighton without child in tow, so can't comment! Any views? tips? Been looking on line but can't seem to find too much! Thanks all x

What is a good (cheap) place to study during early morning/lunch hours?

I don't know Bristol at all, but I would ask at the library if you'd be allowed to plug in your laptop. Don't just assume you can't - they may be amenable. An alternative is to find a little coffee shop and offer them a reasonable amount of money to let you sit there every day with your laptop plugged in. Work out how much electricity you're likely to consume and round up. It's not fair to ask them to subside you, after all. Make sure you buy coffee/tea through your study period as well.Another alternative would be to buy an additional couple of battery packs and just charge them up at night.Lastly I assume that your home is out of the question for some reason but when I read this question I thought 'he can't study at home?' If you are looking for alternatives for a non-crucial reason, I would suggest you think about creating a good study space at home, where you're already allowed to use the electricity ;)

What is the price of a meal in a Michelin star restaurant?

There are exceptions to every rule. Let me tell you about 3 restaurants at the 1, 2 and 3 star level that I have eaten at that are broadly in the ball park for their price range. These are all in the UK and all prices are taken from their websites as of today. I will only include food prices. You can easily spent as much money again on wine, or nothing at all so it seems unfair to include it in these prices.1*Casamia Restaurant - Bristol1* pretty much what you would expect from a 1* restaurant. I include this because it’s the restaurant closest to my house with a *! There is one tasting menu, it offers around 9 courses and priced between £98–118. Pretty standard prices in the 1* ball park.2* L’enclumeRestaurant | L'EnclumeNow 2* restaurants are a bit of an oddity. A lot are still very famous restaurants and can charge as much as a 3* place. In london especially, you can pay very high prices. L’enclume is in the Lake District so is a little cheaper than somewhere in london. Here a tasting menu is £145. Again, outside really famous restaurants or crazy london prices this is about the ballpark to expect.3* Restaurant Gordon Ramsayhttps://www.gordonramsayrestaura...Choice of menus here ranging from £145–195. This is fairly reasonable for a 3* place, but well within the limits of normality. These places are pretty standard price wise. To summarise I would say1* £80–1202* £120–2003* £175–250There are exceptions to any rule, and Michelin elsewhere in the world have taken to doing publicity stunts like giving a star to a street hawker selling noodles, but without the exceptions to the rules these are around what you should expect to pay.

What time does McDonald’s start and stop serving breakfast?

Find the restaurant you're looking for with their Restaurant Locator, click it on the map, click its "Restaurant Homepage" link and somewhere it should list not only their breakfast hours but also the hours they're open if they're not 24h.Sometimes, you may also be able to find the hours listed on their drive thru/dine-in menu boards, but as those change so often I can't say if/where it would be on them.

How long does burnt smell last indoors?

Burnt odor smells are particularly stubborn, as the smoke associated with the burning item has a tendency to pervade the entire house and become absorbed by carpeting and fabrics. With this type of odor, a simple air freshener won't do because the odor is deeply embedded into your upholstery. Instead, follow a more complex process to rid your home of the smell.

Step 1

Clean the burnt surface with a degreaser and an abrasive sponge. If the burn is on a piece of fabric, wash it in a washing machine; if it cannot be washed, use an appropriate cleaner, such as an upholstery shampoo (for furniture), to clean the area. If the surface absolutely cannot be cleaned or washed, simply try to brush off any charred material. The goal is to remove as much of the charred or burned substance as possible.

Step 2

Wipe down the burnt surfaces with bleach. If bleach cannot be applied to the surface, then add a tablespoon of water to a tablespoon of baking soda and mix to create a thick paste. Use a clean rag and the baking soda paste to wipe down the surface and rinse it off with warm water. If you cannot wipe down the surface because it is a fabric, carpeting, or a piece of furniture, then simply skip this step altogether.

Step 3

Place bowls of white vinegar in rooms affected by the odor. About one bowl per 100 square feet will work well, unless the smell is particularly strong; then, use one bowl per 50 square feet. Leave them in place for one full day, so that the acidic properties in the vinegar can absorb the odor.

Step 4

Sprinkle baking soda on carpeting and fabrics in the areas where the burnt odor is present. The baking soda can be applied to any surface and is safe even for delicate fabrics, as long as it is applied dry. Allow the baking soda to sit for 4 to 6 hours.

Step 5

Vacuum the baking soda off of the carpets and fabric.

Step 6

Remove the bowls of white vinegar. Spray the entire area with a fabric freshener and odor remover, such as Febreze. This will help to remove the last remnants of burnt odor and replace it with a clean, fresh smell.

Can you carry ceramics and dishware in your luggage?

In 1994 we travelled from Germany via a 24 hour sidetrip to Bristol, UK to Australia, transporting an extensive coffee set with cups, saucers and plates as well as the can and sugar bowl of my late grandmother. It turned out to be an exciting event having spread the “flat” items well buffered in the middle of 4 suitcases (family trip with 2 kids), while I had the very valuable coffee can and the sugar bowl in my carry on luggage. It turned out to become interesting conversation at every inspection, but passed with no problems. To this day it is still in good use unharmed. If you want to gain attention of your luggage, I suggest to spread a few loose shoelaces among your main luggage and add a powerpoint (electric outlet on the wall) unpackaged to the contents. It woke up the x-ray operator from his morning drowsing and resulted in a thorough search for the suspected bomb. Fortunately that episode did not occur in the USA.
