3 Red Dots In The Night Sky

3 red dots in the night sky?

So i went out side at 1am in the morning just to see if i could see meteors in the sky, i was looking around and spotted 3 red dots in a triangle formation no sound no nothing on the sides 2 white lights flickerd ever 3 seconds, ir was going slow and went right over head of me about 100 feet above me and kept going, does anyone know what that is?

I saw 3 sets of 3 red dots shaped in a triangle in the sky at night not planes way too low and were all in a?

Vertical line hovering in the sky and hovered across to the other side of the sky forming another vertical line on the opposite side of the sky. In pretty sure they are military surveillance drones I live in Portland Oregon I have a picture of them on my phone it wasn't a plane or lanterns or flares which I've seen several people on the Internet try to claim when I looked up if anyone else has seen them and people all over have. Excuse my terrible sentence structure I'm typing with fake nails on a touch screen

Do we see only stars in night sky?

With the naked eye you can see on the night sky* The Moon* Stars - tiny flickering dots, ranging in colour from white, to yellow and red* Planets - not flickering dots (as planets can be seen as extended objects by our eyes).* The Andromeda Galaxy - an extended faint object.* The Magellanic Couds - only on the southern hemisphere; you will recognise them :)* The international space station - only shortly after sunset or shortly before sunset; very bright and quickly moving from east to the west.* Satellites - fast moving faint objects moving from east to the west.* Shooting stars - short glowing strikes of material burning in Earth’s atmosphere.

What are the blinking lights in the night sky?

It might be due to any of these :If you are standing far off from a high rise sky scraper due to fog or clouds the lights mounted on top of the building flickers and seem to be some floating object. The blinking lights would be high flying aeroplanes since you cannot see the plane like in day light it looks ghostly and confusing to what it might be for a casual observed. It may be low orbiting satellite that disappears after a little while and going some distance. If you are a regular sky watcher then some times high orbit satellites reorient it self and flashes of sunlight reflecting from its solar panel can be seen for a few seconds.

How can I tell its a planet or star in the night sky?

Here you have some tips to tell the difference between a star and a planet on the sky with naked eye:First: if it’s even slight blueish or white-blue, is not a planet, is a star.Naked eye planets are whitish, yellowish and red-pale orange. (Venus, brilliant white-yellowish, Mars reddish-orange, Jupiter pale yellow-orange, Saturn yellowish. Mercury is harder to see, is too close to the Sun, but can appear low on dusk/dawn horizon like a very pale orange or white-gray dot)Second: compare the twinkle. If twinkle less than other stars of same brightens and same altitude, then chances are to be a planet (that’s because stars are like points, planets like small disks so less twinkle)Third: naked eye planets are usually bright, even the brightest "stars" in the sky, so if it’s dim, chances are that is not a planet. Also, if you live on Northern Hemisphere, the planets can be seen anywhere from east to zenith, to south or west, but never towards north. So, if it’s in North direction, it's not a planet.Fourth: not a quick tip and much harder to detect (needs days of careful observation) but is the best confirmation for a planet without a telescope. See if it moves, from night to night, relative with other stars. So enjoy and have clear skies!PS: Also special for the fans. :) If is slight gray-blue and it moves fast, then, well… “That's no moon…it's a space station” ;)

How do red dot sights/holographic sights work? Can you see the light if it's turned on and aimed at you?

Modern electronic sights are designed for quick acquisition at close to medium ranges (generally out to about 200 yards)From a user perspective, red dots like the Aimpoint and holo sights like the Eotech fundamentally function the same way: They're non-magnified optics that project a reticle on top of the image you see through the scope. Most red dot sights are "reflex" sights, meaning that the objective lens works as a partial mirror onto which an led projects the "red dot."Holo sights are a little more complicated. They use an internal laser to project a hologram back toward the viewer's eye, onto a sandwiched piece of glass that displays the reticle superimposed over your field of view.  We usually think of the classic "dot in a donut," but holo  sights can have much more intricate reticles, like these... Under certain circumstances, a small amount of red light from the sight might be visible to those down range.  This is more likely with red dots than holo sights.  This is why they make the "killflash," a small filter that goes over the objective lens to disperse any stray light.

I just saw some red and green lights in the sky. They are very far away so I don't think they're at human reach. They are moving around our neighborhood. What is this? Someone explain?

It could be remotely controlled toy, which often do make that buzzing sound.I don't know where you live, but depending on where you live, it could be experimental aircraft by our own military. It could also be something from another world or dimension, visiting us.Enoch has told us that there are worlds without end, all part of creation.  If you ever feel afraid, you can repeat this mantra, which Enoch says will create a protective light field, and it is the phrase Carlos Santana uttered when he accepted the various Grammys for his album, Supernatural:  Kodoish, Kodoish, Kodoish, Adonai Tsebayoth which translates to Mighty, Mighty, Mighty is the Lord of Hosts.Other Worlds and Enoch

What is the red star in the sky?

Depending on where you are located, when you posted this question and what time of night you see it,it could be a number of bodies. This past July, Mars is at it's closest point in 15 years and a magnificent sight to see. This is more than likely your answer. If it is a summer month, around midnight in the southern sky it could possibly be Antares, the heart of the Scorpion. In the northnorthwestern sky? It could be Arcturus which lies at the bottom of Bootes the herdsman. Arcturus has awed many a person, even being reported as a UFO. This time of year it is very low on the northwest horizon at dusk and has a spectacular twinkle effect due to atmospheric bending of it's light. It's an amazing star being 27x the size of our sun and a mere 36.7 light years away. If it is this time of year and after midnight it could possibly be Betelguese. Representing the right attack hand of the hunter Orion. It rises after midnight in the eastern sky and is a very bright orange. It's an enormous red supergiant and could supernova at anytime. Possibly it already has and we aren't aware due to the many light years it lies from our planet. I hope this helped.
