30 Day Shred Challenge Results

Jillian Michaels - 30 Day Shred?

At first I was put off by the claim that you lose 20 pounds in 30 days. But the DVD received so many good reviews, I just had to give it a try. Initially I thought that I could never do it every day, that it would be difficult and leave me feeling too sore and aching to carry on, that it would probably be consigned to the shelf with all the other fitness DVD's, etc. I was so negative, but I did the exercises to the best of my ability through level 1. After that I really felt stronger. I carried on and reached the end of level 2, although I had miss 2 days due to illness. I look in the mirror now and I can see my upper abs, I've almost completely lost my saddle bags, my upper arms are toned and my triceps feel noticeably firmer. I can't wait to start level 3 tomorrow, because I know I'm now strong enough to handle it.

I would recommend this DVD to anyone wanting to tone up and LOOK DIFFERENT. That's what it has done for me so far. Whether I'll lose 20 pounds, I don't know, as I don't weigh myself. I also learned that exercising every day is the correct fitness strategy for me. That way I don't allow myself the time to slip back into the bad habits of the natural couch potato that I am.

There are no quick fixes, that's true. But the results that this routine have given me so far are too good to mess up after it's over. But that's up to me, isn't it. :-)

For the 30 day shred.....??

I have the thirty day shred and I haven't done it everyday, but I've kept up with it for the past couple weeks. I notice a big difference in my shoulders, biceps, abs, and legs... not to mention my endurance. Are you sure you are trying all three different levels? What I did is I did level 1 for a week then mixed in some level 2. I mean, the second week I did mostly level 2 workouts unless I was sore from the day before, then I would go back to level 1. I plan to mix in some level 3 in the next week or two... You need variety to challenge your body to see results.

To get massive results, you also have to watch what you eat.

30 day shred challenge results?

I'm16 I weight 121-123 lbs and my goal weight is about 110-105 (I'm 4'11) I just finished 30 day shred challenge and I haven't lost weight nor inches around my waist. I eat healthy, once in a while I slip but I don't do that often. I know it takes patience but I heard many good reviews for this workout and I haven't seen any results. Am I doing something wrong?

sorry for my bad English

Are 30 day arm challenges effective at all?

There is no way you can tone specific body groups no matter how hard you try. It all comes down to genetics. So programs like these are targeted at specific group of audience and are just intended to make money and hardly helpful at all. You might not get the results you want expected at the end.Arms are a minority muscle group and working out your arms won't burn much calories. The biggest muscle groups of the body are legs and then chest and back. Working out those body parts burns a lot more calories compared to working out your arms. P.S. The image you have attached is not clearly legible to make out the exact program.

Does the 30 day squat and ab challenge work well(if done correctly)?

If you want to get in a killer shape,tone... 30 days alone wouldn't do it depending on how good of a shape you are in right now. But then again 30 days if done correctly will definitely show a difference. I would say go for it ! It is better than nothing and might get you in a habit to keep working out and achieving new goals !

What exercises are in 30 Day Shred?

The Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred is a very effective 3 level total body workout which comprises of 5 minutes of warmup, followed by various exercises like jumping jacks, oblique twists, squats, lunges, push ups, planks, crunches, sit ups, leg raises etc. She has combined upper and lower body exercises together, so that you get better results in lesser time. I absolutely love this program, and no matter what I keep returning to it. I would definitely recommend this.

What diet is recommended when on Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred workout?

A variety of foods, mostly vegetables. Not too much and not too little. That's all the diet you need. There is no "One True Diet." See Craig Good's "Is this diet healthy" blog.

Has anyone done Jillian Michaels 30 day shred? How did it work out for you?

I have friends that have done this with great success. One friend does the shred with a combination of exercise (gym an classes) and healthy eating (soups etc) and I believe she has gone from around 9stone to between 7.5-8stone. I personal think she is a little too thin now, however she is now brave enough to wear just a sports bra in the gym so good for her!Another friend is an ex colleague who recently started working with another ex colleague who can only be described as a feeder. Needless to say she gained 1/2 a stone so I recommended the shred as a quick an easy way to fit exercise in on the morning. She's now lost the weight. I use the shred as a quick way to exercise if I don't have the time for a full work out, say it's too late or I'm too tired. I've done around 2 weeks of the shred at once only once and found it beneficial, as I don't usually do squats etc in the gym. I would highly recommend it. I'd also recommend downloading level one only from iTunes first (it's like £3.99) and see how you feel for a couple of weeks.

30 day shred for a 16 year old girl?

Hi! I will be turning seventeen this December. I weigh 107 and I am 5'3. I am pretty skinny with a VERY small amount of stomach fat (which I think is normal). My whole family is tall and lean. I was wondering if any 16 year olds have done the 30 Day Shred and what their results were. What can I expect? I would like to get toned. I really want to work towards abs. I know it sounds unrealistic, but I'm willing to work for it. I plan on eating healthy, drinking plenty of water, hopefully sleeping better, and doing the 30 day shreds. The results I want are: toned arms, abs (or some definition), calves, and nice thighs and a good butt. I will probably do a squat challenge for my legs and butt along with it. What are your guy's thoughts?
