75 In 45 Speed Ticket Help

Can I get out of a speeding ticket because the VIN is wrong on the ticket?

Pay the ticket. Such a minor error would not invalidate the fact that it was you, not someone else, who was given the ticket. If your name, Date of Birth, and address are correct how could you say it wasn't you who was charged? Contrary to what many folks in this YA category will tell you, a minor mistake makes no difference. If the mistake leads the judge to give you the benefit of reasonable doubt and say that it might not have been you who got the ticket it could be thrown out. That would be when you plead not guilty, swear under oath that you are not the person who was issued the ticket, show that the officer had the wrong name ('Johnson' instead of 'Jones') or wrong date of birth (1972 instead of 1992) or the wrong street ('Main St. West' instead of 'Main Street East'), or any other major factor. Are you willing to swear under oath that you are not the person who received the ticket (and take a chance on being charged with perjury and going to jail) plus pointing out that your identification details do not match what is written on the ticket, then you may have a chance of getting away with it. Your decision. Good luck!!

My wife got ANOTHER speeding ticket?

Well she is acting like a teenager, she is being reckelss, irresponsible, and she needs to learn a hard lesson. I would take her keys. I know, people may say she's not your kid you can't control her and blah blah blah. But you are her husband, and she should have enough common sense not to speed especially since you are a cop. This shows alot of disrespect as well. Ask her What was so important she had to go 30 miles over the speed limiit, let her know your concernd and angrey. If you happen to raise your voice thats understandable. You said shes had 2 prior tickets? As I said earilier take her keys. Seriously she needs to grow up! Especially when you have children!!! If she speeds like that I'd be concerned how she is driving with the kids in the car.

Got a ticket speeding 75 in a 45?

So the cop pulled me over and wrote me a ticket and everything. He wrote me up for an infraction rather than a misdemeanor for reckless driving, I just got a notice in the mail, saying you are to appear in court before may 18. No ticket cost or anything. Just a date. What will happen when I go to court, will I get charged with a misdemeanor? Or will they give me the ticket cost and tell me to go to traffic school? Or what else could happen?

I got a speed ticket for 100 mph on 75 mph speed limit in Texas. What is the best way to deal with this situation?

Since it sounds like no one else here has actually had a 25+ over ticket in Texas…At one point you could take a Defensive Driving course for up to 26 over (it's been a while, may only be for up to 24 over). A ticket for 100 in a 75 may be a disqualifier, though. You can go to court and ask for Deferred Adjudication (look it up). You'll pay the ticket, but get no "points" on your license so long as you don't get another ticket within the next 6 months. I did this for ticket where I was cited doing 89 in a 60 (29 over). You can plead "no contest" and pay the fine/court costs by mail and take the points on your license. All this was from personal experience and roughly 15 years ago, so things may have changed.PS: Slow down. It's really not worth it.

HELP!!!! I got a speeding ticket.I was going 64 in a 45 construction zone.im 17.temps. I have court in October?

Now you have incentive to better understand integer math.

Vince! My Man! Dude.. how is that you supposedly spent that much time on the bench without realizing that respect isn't something that you can demand or require? You can require courtesy. But respect isn't something that can be demanded. And if you don't know that I'm thinking your jurisprudence must be pretty shabby.

I GOT A SPEEDING TICKET LAST NIGHT, 208 IN A 45. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Pay for everything and be happy that you didn't get a bad cop. A bad cop would have worked things and got you to a bad judge who would have had you go to prison for 1-5 years and then have you do community service while being stripped of your liscence for a certain amount of time. I guess those would be good cops depending on which way you look at it.

At any rate, you got off easy. Don't complain.

The fines are on a scale often where for every mile an amount is added, for every so many more money is added to what you have to pay and soon percentages and other fines.

So be happy you don't have to spend a certain period of time in jail and you don't have to work off community service. If you complain instead of paying they'll start to tack those on.

You are not innocent and should admit your guilt. That makes the fines even lower.

Don't be surprised if you have to revisit driving school soon, though.

I got a speeding ticket going 68 in a 45 zone. Do I need to get a lawyer to handle this? Would it be better to

You'll come out of it better with a lawyer.

How likely that a criminal speeding ticket of 104 mph in a 75 mph zone will get reduced to civilian offense for first time violation in Arizona?

I would say not good. Normally more than 20 over becomes criminal rather than civil, and you were going way too fast. Also, speeding on the freeways was always criminal when I was prosecuting. And cops get REALLY tired of scraping speeding idiots off the pavement (along with their innocent victims). However, I will tell you a secret. I can’t speak to current practice, but it sometimes made a difference whether you were in a city court or a justice court when I was prosecuting. City courts had lawyer judges (City Magistrates) who were pretty straight arrow. Justices in Justice Courts were not generally attorneys and got a percentage of the fines they collected, so they were more likely to make deals. You know, pay a much bigger fine and get the charge reduce to a lesser (sometimes civil) offense. Also, a prosecutor should be involved in a criminal speed. Depends on what they would do. I would have told you to go take a flying leap. But I am not your prosecutor, so be polite and hope for the best.I would tell you “Good luck” but I’m just not feelin’ it.

How much will a speeding ticket be in Ohio if I was doing 75 in a 60 mph zone?

I was doing 75 in a 60 mph zone and got pulled over.

I was just wondering what to expect.

Anything you can tell me would be great! Thanks!

*PS-The back of the ticket doesn't say how much it is..but it does have a box that says "waiverable through traffic voilations bureau" and it is checked off.

I don't know? This is my first ticket..I'm new at this. =]
