Are Atheists genuinely this slow or are they just trolling

Are atheists actually trolls?

I read on norwegian wikipedia where "one trying to for example disprove god's existence on a forum" could be an example of trolling, or they define it to make a topic into something explosive.

That was a tad bit funny

"translation"

"A troll can use many different methods to fool people. One method is to promote ranges of sharped formulas of reasoning and discarding methods of the common value ground that exists in news organizations, for example by denying god's existence in a religious discussion group. Something else a troll can do is to troll a individual person. Another method is to crosspost one thread to more groups"

Wiki knows its facts :D. Thats how i became a troll, thanks to R&S Yahoo Answers. I didn't care about it before, so i am kind of glad i came here in 2011, since then i lost all ambition which sucks, but atleast i can do my best with what i can.

Are Atheists genuinely this slow or are they just trolling?

I find it amusing that people of both schools of thought (theism and atheism) are so set in their own beliefs, that they will bash each other and throw around the words "proven", and "fact" about things that are neither.
It doesn't surprise me that studies done have shown atheists to be more intelligent as a whole, just for the reason that an atheist would be more likely to base their ideals on logic, and a theist on faith. However, that doesn't necessarily make the atheist correct on the God issue.
I am currently researching for, and writing a book which I think brings into a perspective which I haven't really heard talked about, and puts the "truth" in a place that is more in between the two opposites that are always fighting each other. a book which attempts to explain God, the universe, and the meaning of life. I placed "truth" in quotes, because it is only a truth from my perspective, not based solely on proof or facts, but taking what facts we have, and adding some logic, and maybe a couple novel concepts, and molding into an idea that will make at least some people from each side say, "Hmmmmmm". And the whole thing isn't even that radical.

Do atheists really think that trolling Christians on Quora is an effective way to win friends and influence people?

From the question details, this is clearly not a real question. This is more of a complaint that the activity on the topics you want is not as good as you want.

Also, you should provide evidence for your claim, I am not sure if I believe it (your claim of theists trolls btw).

Most of the time, the post I've seen is theists asking silly question and putting the atheist tag on it. If you ask silly questions and ask atheists to respond, its hard to always remain patient. Specially if the question has already been asked for 100 time.

There is a reason the A2A thing exists. If you want a serious discussion about whatever your religious thing is, then you should just A2A theists and stop bring atheists into this. I bet that would solve a big part of your issue.

Its fun to troll atheists?

Like for example things they hold dear, like victim oppression that Christians and Atheists in USA hold dear. But i just think its fun trolling with political stuff, calling them socialists of frankfurt school of not wanting people to create jobs and that almost all atheists are like that (which is sort of true)

And that anal sex is the least safest sex, because even with lube and condoms, it will shut itself off and condoms will shred inside it, so 2nd safest is vaginal sex, and safest is lesbian sex.

Its funny because they are so pro tolerant. But living on HIV treatments like a robot is not ideal too since there is no cure for AIDS.

I just like doing this because i love seeing atheist suffer. Just like they do when they troll religious people. To me it makes my dear, to see their tears ^^. Its so delicious <3

Why is atheism the easiest religion to troll?

Judging from the reaction, i might say approximately 50 – 50. Your question required a definite or NO reaction, yet I observe maximum have been objecting with regard to the word “faith”. Atheism v Theism. Atheists that declare they do no longer look to be “religious”. check out the ‘Synonyms’ of those words. faith: faith, thought, Creed. thought: faith, Conviction, theory, thought, self assurance, have confidence, faith: self assurance, have confidence, Reliance, insurance, Conviction, thought, Devotion, Loyalty, Shawn responded:- “No it rather is not a faith it rather is a thought besides the undeniable fact that which falls under the comparable section.” “thought isn't info of the two” “faith is needed for info of the two.” (Duh, hi?) A chook is a chook, a 4 legged animal is a 4 legged animal. – faith is faith. As for applying good judgment to be certain our beginnings:- good judgment: reason, Judgement, clarification. To reason, decide or clarify one might desire to have a factor of reference. i ask your self, now and lower back, how our ability to reason or decide ‘superior’ from slime.

How would you troll an atheist?

Just constantly talk about your god, without letting them give their own point of you.

That should just about do it.

I remember having a reasonable debate about God with one my close friends (wait whaaa! Theists and Atheists can be friends? Preposterous!) then the school religious nut job decides to get in on our intellectual action.

Friend: So how do you think the big bang came to be.

Me: Personally I believe in a previous universe, collapsing in on itself creating the conditions for another big bang and -

Religious Nut Job: (interupts my point) So what came before then.

Me: Another Universe.

Religious Nut Job: And before then.

Me: Another Universe. Right, this is a loop, pretty self explanatory. You went even apart of this conversation.

Religious Nut Job: Yeah but the Universe is a like a flower, the seed has to be planted by something - this something has to be transcendent, therefore it must be God.

It was at this point both I and my religious friend were shaking our heads. We both realised the problem with this guy's analogy.

Me: If the universe is a flower, and has a seed. This seed, in your analogy is the big bang yes?

He nods, he may be a religious nut job, but at least he accepts the big bang theory.

Me: OK then and where does this seed come from that needs to be planted? (He looks blankly at me) Another flower.

The rest of the conversation is a blur, I say conversation it was his rambling about how I was wrong and his analogy was correct and perfect and how God must exist and how I was wrong again. Everytime I tried to intervene, nut job cut me off, everytime I tried to respond the same thing.

I left about 2 mins later because it was annoying as hell. If that is your aim, do what Religious Nut Job did.

And I guess that is how you troll and atheist.

Warning:

Will not work in a debate situation, it will not work with a very argumentative atheist, will not work if you are surrounded by other atheists, will not work unless you have a stupid point to make.

Are atheists true believers?

Ok, I'll bite. Yes, actually, atheists are true believers, and I'll tell you why. For the purposes of this argument, let's assume that when you say ‘true believers’ you mean an omnipresent God, and that this omnipresent God is the creator of the universe. Atheists reject the deity concepts of all major religions based on the lack of evidence for their existence. They tend to believe the theories provided by the natural sciences, because although it may not be possible to prove them through direct observation, they have enough data to back them up and make them the most plausible explanations for the things we can observe. One of the theories many atheists believe is that of the Big Bang. This theory states that the universe came into existence spontaneously some 14 billion years ago, but does not (and cannot) provide any indication about the catalyst of it. To the best of our knowledge, the universe created itself. Now, atheists do believe that the universe exists, and I'll just make the wild claim that most probably believe that the Big Bang theory is correct. In that scenario, it can be argued that atheists believe in the creator of the universe, and they do, because the universe itself is the creator. The universe can also be considered omnipresent, as it is not only everywhere, it actually constitutes everywhere. It is omniscient insofar as every mind contained within it is also a part of it and knows everything that mind knows, and, taken as a universal collective, the knowledge of all these minds would comprise supreme knowledge of every thought process that has ever occurred. So, atheists believe in something that does actually fulfill all the criteria of being God, and are as such true believers. Please note, however, that nowhere did I say that atheists believe all these things on blind faith. This is the key element that separates atheists from theists. Atheists want to use the faculties they possess to think critically and logically, and do not take well to being told that the use of said faculties is unnecessary or even frowned upon, as is so often the case with religions.

Oh, and since I've demonstrated that we atheists are the true believers, I say to you now: repent! Renounce your wicked ways of dogmatic thinking and false dichotomies, or burn in everlasting ignorance and stupidity! (Everlasting, of course, meaning until the day you die, and no longer.)

Why do people ask questions when they don't really want an answer?

When someone starts a question with something like "ATHEISTS: ..." you know one thing right off the bat: They do not want an answer.

Example: "Atheists: If there's no god, how did life form?"

There will be three types of answer to a question like this.

The first is Atheists that are trolling. They will reply with things like "Obviously the pink unicorns did it."

The second is religious people trolling. They will say things like "ATHEISTS BLIND THEMSELVES FROM TEH TRUTH! THEY WILL BURN IN THE FIRE FOREVER!"

The third is atheists that actually think they are going to answer the question. They spend a good 10 minutes writing out a response that carefully addresses the question and thoughtfully explains everything that one would want to know about the origins of life.

The third type of answer will never be read. The selected "best answer" will be one of the "atheists r dum" answers.

Why do people ask these questions when they don't want an answer? Couldn't they just state something as a fact instead?

NOTE: Atheism vs Religion isn't the only instance in which this happens, but as an Atheist it's the instance I am most familiar with.
