A Lump On Lower Spine

Sore lump on lower part of spine?

about ten minutes ago i sat in a chair and felt a sore lump on the back of my spine rub against the chair, i rubbed it with my hand and there is a small bump, my moms a nurse and she felt it and she said it could possibly be a tumor? any ideas on what it might be?

What is the lump on my newborns spine?

The spine does stick out a bit more there...so it could be completely normal. Does it feel like it's on the skin or under it...if it's under the skin and sticks out more when you lean him over your forearm and doesn't move side to side at all if you try with your finger....it's likely the spine. If it's very bumpy and seems like it's always there no matter what position and it moves with the skin, then it might be a rash and you might want to call your pedi to check on it.

Hope that helps!

I have a lump on my lower back near my spine...?

I've been having alot of back pain lately and pulled muscles, but usually only in my upper back and shoulders... Well, today i woke up and my lower back was killling me. I had a sore spot, but i assumed it was a pulled muscle... Well, i was sitting on the couch and felt this sharp pain, i felt my back for the pulled muscle and felt this semi-large lump right next to my spine. It almost feels like it should be part of my spine... It hurts and i was just wondering what it could be. how do i know when or if i should see a doctor about it?

How can I treat a lump on my lower back?

Hi, The lump embossed on the back is probably a lipoma, a fatty lump growing between the skin and the muscle layer. The characteristics of lipoma is to grow slowly, feels soft, if pressed can shift and generally not pain. When large lipomas can suppress blood vessels and nerves that cause pain.Lipomas generally appear on the back, abdominal, arm, shoulder, thigh or neck area. The cause is unknown, but is thought to be related to genetic factors, age, and certain diseases.Lipoma is a benign tumor that is harmless and generally does not require special handling. However, in certain circumstances where a complaint of pain or tumor continues to develop, the doctor may suggest surgical procedures to remove the lipoma. You should consult your doctor to make sure. The doctor will perform a physical examination either through observation or touch on the lump.If a specific test is required, a biopsy is recommended, especially if there are other possible causes (eg, cysts, liposarcomas, etc.).Thus proper handling will be given according to the underlying cause.Read the following article pages:Thus proper handling will be given according to the underlying cause.Read the following article pages:Thus proper handling will be given according to the underlying cause.Read the following article pages:Lipoma - drug herbs lumpSo hopefully useful.Best regards,

Small lump on lower back, deep in muscle, near spine - what is it?

Hello - I am a healthy, 26 year old female. The other day, I noticed a small bump, the size of a quarter in my left, lower back, about an inch from my spine.

It is on the left, deep in the muscle tissue, and it feels almond shaped. It is right over my pelvis, in fact where the spine enters the pelvis.

It does not hurt (unless of course you push hard on it which I stupidly did). It feels semi-hard but I can move it a bit.

I felt around on my right side, and I can sort of feel something similar, but I am not sure. I cannot feel it when standing. Just when I am sitting and bending forward, and even then you really need to massage the muscles to feel it. I am thinking it is just a muscle over my bones.

I have an appointment with my doctor next Monday, but I am really freaking out until then. Can it be cancer - I googled it and found sarcoma - and now I am really scared.

What can it be? I want to be prepared for my doctor's visit

I noticed a bump at my lower back near left side of my spine. What could it be?is it dangerous?

I noticed a week ago that my lower back near the spine is not even.there is a slight bump, a round-like movable hard thing (i don't know if it is tissue or bone) located at the left side of my spine. It is on the same level to my navel, only that it is located at the left side of my spine.sometimes it is painful, sometimes it is not. I am quite concerned about what is it. if i bent down,it is clear that my lower back is not even because of this bump. Do you have any ideas, or similar problems? Please share me what do you think it is? Is it very dangerous? I plan to see a doctor but i wanted to search more about this, sadly i don't know what to search because i don't know what it is.
