A Question About Making A Circuit

Electric circuit question?

the wire must be 10/3 with ground in order to do this..... you cannot use the bare wire as a neutral....in other words there must be a black, red, white and bare wire in this wire...you must also use seperate 15 amp breakers for each hot wire red and black...you cannot use 20 amp breakers because the combined load on the neutral cannot exceed 30 amps...

Question about fixed resistors in a circuit?

When a current flows through a resistor, power is dissipated as heat. In other words, the resistor warms up.

Apart from their resistance value, resistors are manufactured in different power ratings according to the amount of power that they need to dissipate safely for a particular job. So, for example, you can get 1/2 Watt resistors or 10 Watt resistors.

The amount of power dissipated = I^2R where I is the current and R is the resistance.

In this case the power dissipated was more than the resistor could safely handle, and it got too hot.

So we can say that I was too big for that particular resistor.

When resistors overheat they usually burn off the paint or protective coating on the surface. This usually causes quite a stink. If they are made of carbon, the carbon track can glow red hot and also start to burn.

I want to make a circuit consisting of logic gates, which can work like a conceptual FPGA model (act like an FPGA). How can I do it?

If its just a model, probably you are OK with a simple function with few levels of logic. You could use a FPGA itself for building this model...!A basic FPGA consists of a computing, storage and routing elements. And then the configuration bit file which governs them all. The configuration bit file can be realized in a block RAM; the computing using LUTs, storage using FFs and routing elements using simple muxes.Probably you can start off with a simple 2x2 matrix of LUT/FF pairs. If you want to do it using discrete components, LUTs and Config bit file could be realized in simple SRAMs, FFs are FFs. Routing elements could be achieved through Muxes. With a 8051 sub-system acting as controller, you could write a code which takes in a simple function from the user and programs the SRAM and muxes accordingly to realize the function. Now that would be some hobby project, wouldn't it?

What two things do you need to make a circuit?

1. A potential difference
2. A complete path from one terminal of the potential difference to the other.

How do I make an iPod Dock circuit?

It would be difficult to diagnose without seeing the schematic and what you've built, but assuming the schematic is correct and the circuit can and should actually work, the most common problems are wiring errors, missing grounds, and reversed polarized components. It happens to the best of us. I would triple check every connection and component orientation, then check it again. Let's hope the circuit components weren't damaged by applying power to it in its current state.

How can I make a ripple rejection circuit (general one)?

For the rejection of ripples you can connect a capacitor in shunt path of your circuit. The capacitor should be connected in parallel with the load . It resists the AC component of the output signal to flow in the load . Capacitor offers high impedance to the low frequency signals flowing through it thus the low frequency signals can appear across the load and rejects the high frequency (ripples) component flows through it…Thanks for reading!!!

Can someone make a circuit for me?

Yes, many people can make a circuit for you. Maybe you should ask the Polecats - they’d like to make a circuit with you!Really, all you need is a power source such as a AA battery, some wire for connecting parts, a resistor and an LED. Connect a wire from the - terminal of the battery to one end of the resistor, connect a wire from the other end of the resistor to the - terminal of the LED, and connect the + terminal of the LED to the + terminal of the battery. The LED should light up, and you have a working circuit.

How can I make a bad sales detector circuit?

Most of us have a bad sales detector already. Although not thought of as a circuit, it works just as well. It’s called a credit card and every time we pay for something using this device, wwe have participated in a bad sale. Unfortunately, we have been victimized before the statement arrives.

Can I make electronic circuits in home?

Broadly speaking, of course. However a lot depends on details. You need the right tools and right skills for the job. In fact, requirement of tools is a bit subjective as people often figure out ingenious ways to invent rudimentary tools for tasks, which have traditionally required advanced, expensive and bulky tools. However “making” of electronic circuit can happen at various levels, go through various stages. You could start from any of these stages:From circuit design (start with conceptual circuit), test it using SPICE etc. From PCB design and component placement (you make the design files based on conceptual circuit, perhaps done earlier or by someone else)From PCB fabrication and circuit assembly (assuming the PCB design and component placement information is already available)From circuit assembly using pre-fabricated PCB or general purpose/veroboard or even breadboard, using discrete components (and few ICs)Assembly from pre-fabricated, circuit modules, around a standard uC module, platform etc. (a’la the Arduino style development)Clearly, if you have supplies, the tools (there are obviously some bare-minimums, unless you invent new ways/tools) and the knowledge on how to use them. Don’t forget the importance on how to test and troubleshoot circuit design and assembly issues.Today, there is a huge market (& as a result availability) of tools, equipment, material addressing the hobby electronics market… aka “makers” (the fancy new name). There are many online stores to procure the tools, many support-groups/BOF-groups, and sources of information on internet (instructables.com, maker.com, adafruit.com… extremely long list), apart from umpteen YouTube videos, to learn most of the necessary skills.
