A question about Skype?
I'm a little confused here, is Skype used for video chatting? Like, talking with webcam? Or is it a chat room. I know it can be used to call others. Some people are saying that it is only for webcam chat, and some are saying that it is a chatroom. I am planning to download Skype soon. Is it true that they charge you for calls and chats?

It is a status indicator icon, the question marks means: Pending. When you add someone to your contact list, they need to approve it. Until they’ve gotten around to that, this icon is shown. Also read FAQ: The contact will appear with a question mark in their online status. For example, you may add someone to your contact list and you may cancel sending the authorization message, or the other party may not authorize you, or the other party may take time thinking if they are going to authorize you or not. If you want you can always re-send authorization request to the other party by right-clicking on a contact.

You should be safe with the monitor turned off as you remain online with speakers still turned on. However, make sure your computer doesn't go into Stand By mode as this will remove your connection to the internet. You can fix this by going into the Power Settings and change "Put the computer to sleep" to "Never". Tell him I said thank you for his service :)
What does the question mark on skype mean?
So me and my boyfriend is in a long distance relationship and we communicate by skype most of the time. All of a sudden, his name disappears from my contact list so when I search his name it says add to contacts. So I sent him another request then a grey question mark appears but not his pic and it also gives me the option saying " remove from contacts or block"... Does this mean that he deleted me then added me? I asked him on the phone if he deleted me and he got mad because I accused him. I hope I didn't yell at him for nothing. Please help!!!

The question mark means that other contact has not authorized you to see his/her status and to communicate with him/her. That person removed you from their friends list, blocked you, or (maybe?) deleted their Skype account. The red exclamation point indicates that chat delivery failed.

Question about SKYPE. What does it mean when you call someone and it says busy?
when it say busy it means they clicked on the option not to anwser. if they are in another call skype will still call them like always so there is no such thing as "they are having another call" thats not how skype works. they simply declined the call.
