A Restaurant Called For An Interview For My Friend In Just Two Hours Answer

I got called for an interview at Bard. I was wondering if someone could answer a few questions about it?

There is this high school in New York (Queens, specifically) called Bard High School Early College (BHSEC). I took the test for this school recently and, to my great delight, I was called in for an interview. My interview is in two days.

For the record, I'm applying for Bard II in Queens.

I was just wondering if anyone could help me answer a few questions (preferably someone who had their own interview either this year or who got into the school from previous years). The questions are:
1. What sorts of questions do they ask?
2. How should I dress (by the way, I'm a girl)?
3. What is the atmosphere like?
4. How long do the interview tend to go on for (I think I read 15-20 minutes somewhere)?
5. What are the interviewers like?
6. How many others apply per day?
7. What do they expect from you?

Thank you so much for your help! If you leave a link in your answer, I'll answer your question, as well.

3 weeks ago I got an interview but no call back. Does that mean I didn't get the job?

Most interview experiences I have encountered, the interviewer is usually waiting to see if you are still interested or really need/value the job. If it has been three weeks it may be too late but always ALWAYS call or (I prefer a professional email if circumstances allow) complete a followup letter after the interview thanking them for their time, and emphasizing how much you are still interested in working for that person and/or company. This is pretty standard nowadays... Generally if you are not persistent chances are someone else has sent a followup and they will choose the other person most every time.

I have never been denied a job after a followup call or email. My husband as well who is an RN. It does not sound needy (Ive also been in the position of interveiwer and hiring decision maker) We look for those truly interested, not the joe shmoe who puts out 40 resumes, goes home drinks a beer sits on his or her butt and does nothing to pursue. It is perceived as laziness and nobody wants to hire some who is not driven.

P.S. ONE followup call or email is sufficient. Any more gets annoying. Just remember to
Maintain a professional attitude. Also, we check facebooks...! Make sure there is nothing that you would not want your future employers to see. :-)

What should a female wear to an Outback Steakhouse interview?

I HAVE MY FIRST JOB INTERVIEW IN 3 HOURS HELP?

I'm 16 and I have my first job interview for a restaurant called Brio today. I'm so nervous and I don't know what to expect. Can you give me some possible interview questions (I applied to be a hostess/waitress). Also would this attire be appropriate?
- French braided hair
- Black skater dress
- All black vans
- Light coverage makeup (no eyeshadow or anything, just like everyday makeup)

Thanks so much in advance!!!

What should I expect from an interview at Cracker Barrel?

They will ask about your previous jobs or customer service experience. They will also ask general questions about describing difficult situations, how would you handle a difficult customer, what if someone stole something, etc. Up play your experience from working in dining halls.

I would dress as nice as you can short of a pants/skirts suit. If you have a skirt that is knee-length or slightly longer, wear that as long as you can sit properly and it doesn't show anything in the back when you sit down. Wear nylons with a skirt if you choose to wear one and wear flats or very short heels under 3 inches. Don't wear sandals or boots.

If you go with pants, go with khaki or black dress pants that are not jeans. Do not wear jeans under any circumstances. Cracker Barrel makes even their dish washers wear dress shirts so showing up in jeans is not okay.

Wear a nice blouse that is flattering to your skin tone. White is usually good with everyone, but make sure it isn't see-through or cut too low. Like I have dark brown hair and brown looks nice with blue eyes. Make sure the color flatters you.

Use light makeup that is flattering.

If you know anyone, it may be beneficial to get them to put in a good word. A lot of my friends were hired because they knew one of the servers.

Second Interview, Today At 4:00 P.M?

After two years of unsuccessful job hunting, I finally got a second interview, at Arby's. I felt like I could've done better communicating with the assistant manager who interviewed me, but the general manager called me this morning, asking for a second interview.

Basically, how do I go about this one without screwing myself out of a job?

1. I'm bad at answering questions typically in an interview. They are pure BS, so that makes me want to answer them with pure BS..
One's like, "Why do you want to work for Arby's?"
My default response would be something like, "Why would anyone want to work at Arby's? There's only one reason, for the hourly pay.."
But obviously that would be a really stupid thing to say. So how should I respond to the BS questions, so to speak?

2. What should I expect from the second interview, and how should I handle it? So far I'm going to wear khaki's with a button up shirt, get there 20 minutes early and sober.

Thanks for serious, helpful answers! This is the first second interview I've had, so I'm kinda blind to how to go about it. Thanks for your time!
