A Two Part Question. What Is Your Favorite Chillie Peppers Song And What Other Bands Are Like The

What are some other bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead?

I wouldn't say Radiohead and RHCP have a similar sound, but there are a few bands that have a similar kind of heart.Warpaint would be a good place to start - especially their album The Fool (it's exceptional from start to finish). Check out this song and you'll get a good sense of whether or not it's for you (listen the whole way through, and with headphones):My other suggestion would be the Automatic Writing album by Ataxia - a band that existed for a couple of weeks [intentionally] in 2004 with John Frusciante (guitar and vocals), Josh Klinghoffer (drums and vocals), and Joe Lally (bass). And lastly, I'd recommend checking out John Frusciante's solo work. Don't expect to love all of it (especially not the first time around - some of it takes time), but he made some real gems. In 2004, RHCP took a six-month break from touring and John recorded six albums in that period (including two albums with Ataxia, mentioned above). I'd start with the album The Will to Death, and then test the waters with the others. (John Klinghoffer is on drums on a lot of the tracks, and Flea is occasionally on bass.)Here's a track from The Will to Death:

Red Hot Chili Peppers (band): What is your interpretation of the song Snow[hey oh]?

Go watch youtube’s video where anthony john flea and chad comment about most stadium arcadium songs.Anthony says this song is about unhealthy beliefs that promote unhealthy behaviour, but i remember that he also said that even good beliefs could be bad if you didnt have the strenght of heart to question them from time to time. Snow is what we use to cover beliefs to either protect them from other beliefs that contradict them ( i think this is probably not what anthony meant) or to either hide them from our mind so we can have a little peice of mind to actually think what we really believe in, so we can finally after a long introspection come to decide that the things that we believe are good or not, and if we should believe new things or not.I think it’s a beautiful idea, i hated this song when all my friends told me it was a simple cocain song, then knowing this made me love this song so much. Anthony may be a little too self centered and control freak, but he knows it and always try to become better. as everyone should do. Cheers. ( remember i saw this video long time ago, this may be mostly my interpretation, so go watch the video i told you and come up with your own conclusions)

Bands like The Red Hot Chili Peppers?

You need to get By the Way by RHCP, you'll never want to listen to anything else. : )

JOHN FRUSCIANTE
Minutemen
Meat Puppets
Nirvana
Eddie Vedder
Iggy Pop
The Bicycle Thief
The Strokes

It's hard to say, because they are so unique but I love the RHCP, and I also love these guys. If anyone, check out John Frusciante. :)

Red Hot Chili Peppers (band): What is your favourite RHCP song and is there a reason for inclination to it compared to other song?

"Death of a Martian" from Stadium Arcadium. The song is about the death of Flea's dog Martian. She was around them all the time in the garage studio in Flea's house when they reunited after Californication to record Stadium Arcadium and during the course of their recording sessions, she got really unwell and died. So this song is Anthony Kiedis' ode to her.         I love this song because they ended up using a garage demo as the version that ends up in the album. All recorded in one go with very little post production. As RHCP as it gets!         But the real brilliance of the song is the outro that Frusciante composed! To me it's one of the best pieces of music they've written together. And to top that Kiedis pulled out a random poem/spoken word thingy from a book and sang it in his own awesome flow! The lyrics of the poem make no sense (to me) and have nothing to do with the song, but it just works! Beautiful song all in all. PS: it is also placed perfectly in the track list. Last.

Songs similar to "Don't Forget Me" by Red Hot Chili Peppers?

get their live version in Slane Castle, its a mile better & contains one of my favourite outros on guitar (its f*cking orgasmic playing by Frusciante)

eh songs similar to ''dont forget me'' by rhcp hmmm
eh personally i amn't a fan of this song but ''bunker hill''-RHCP (b-side)
''Otherside''-RHCP (has that typical feel to it like dont forget me, off Californication)
''Save The Population'' (off greatest hits it was a bonus track)
''Strip My Mind'' (off stadium arcadium*******this is the closest i can find to it)

yeah thats the closest i can find to be honest, they didn't do many tacks like D F M, its one heck of a tune & one of my most played.

EDIT****
mhm i agree with the answer Below me, John Frusciante solo works not only are amazing but have that same psychadelic feel to them.
Ataxia were unbelievable, most likely though you will have to order the album in they are rare to find.
check out Frusciantes solo work though if you get a chance

I know this sounds stupid, but are the Red Hot Chili Peppers Emo? (more details inside)?

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been around for 25 years, which means they predate the *birthdate* of most of the members of bands that currently call themselves "emo" (which is an imprecise term anyhow, given that emo used to mean something very different in the 1990s). So no, they're not emo. Also, the Chili Peppers have their roots in 70s funk, which makes them about as un-emo as possible. Show me your typical emo band and I'll show you four or five guys who couldn't possibly be less funky.

My favorite song of theirs is probably their cover of "Higher Ground," though I definitely like most of their last two albums and BloodSugarSexMagik from the early 1990s.

Your favorite song by a musician usually comes from your favorite album by them. Do you agree or disagree?

Listening to an individual song and listening to an album are two completely different experiences. A great album doesn’t have to made up of great songs, a great album is a sequence of good songs (no filler) which sit well together and make a whole that is greater than its parts. For an example, let’s use two Gold Standards - The Beatles and Rolling Stone magazine.I’ve always enjoyed listening to Revolver more than their other albums, and Rolling Stone’s readers agree:Rolling Stone Poll: Top 10 Beatles AlbumsSo let’s see how Rolling Stone’s readers rate the songs on Revolver.100 Greatest Beatles SongsTomorrow Never Knows comes in at 18thEleanor Rigby 22ndHere There and Everywhere 25thShe Said She Said 37thFor No One 40thGot To Get You Into My Life 50thTaxman 55thI’m Only Sleeping 57thYellow Submarine 74thAnd Your Bird Can Sing 78thGood Day Sunshine 89thSo according to Rolling Stone’s readers, the best Beatles album has 11 of 14 songs in their top 100.
