Abdominal Pain Need Help

Help with severe abdominal pain?

For the past six years I've had severe right upper quadrant abdominal pain...a surgeon removed my appendix five years ago and it didn't help. Besides the pain I've experienced diarreah, vomiting, nausea and severe gas. I've had three or four ultrasounds of my abdominal area and they all show up as normal. All blood tests show up as normal. My doctor thought it was my gallbladder but the latest scan came back normal. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be? I'm getting frustrated with getting no where.

Lower left abdominal pain please help!?

I have been having pain in my lower left abdomen and when i press down on it, its almost as if i can feel something under my skin - an organ? When i press on it, it hurts more. The pain is now drifting towards the middle but still mostly on the left side.
Alongside this, i am suffering constipation and severe loss of appetite. Does anyone know what this is??

How do I deal with abdominal pain?

Are you having regular bowel movements? If not then you could be constipated. You need to see your doctor for one. If it happens to be your colon then look into getting a fibre supplement to help things along as well as a good laxative. Good luck

Help! Unknown upper-right abdominal pain!?

There is a better test that could be done:
It is known as an ERCP. Stands for
Endoscopy Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography
They will use a scope (that has a camera, light, and can
insert tiny instruments through). They numb the throat
and ask you to swallow the end of the scope. They then
sedate you. They can move the scope through the
esophagus, stomach, and into the first part of the intestines
over to where the bile ducts come down from the liver to
the intestines. They can shoot dye up into them and
see if there is an obstruction (like a stone, growth), if
the ducts are narrowed, if they are malformed, and
how the pancreatic duct is or if there is an infection.
If they see a stone, they can remove it...they can expand
the ducts, making them wider and other things.

Very small stones are hard to see on any films taken.
Sometimes, it is good if the films are given to another
doctor to view...a second opinion.

Here is a link about this ERCP and also a pill endoscopy:

.........................................

The liver makes bile. The bile flows through tube like structures
known as ducts to the gallbladder and then to the Common bile
duct to the intestines.
This bile helps to emulsify the fats we eat so they can be
digested and absorbed into the body.
The pancreas makes lipase, this lipase flow through the
pancreatic duct which connects to the Common bile duct,
just before it reaches the intestines. Lipase also helps
to break down fats further.
Therefore, if you are having a problem with fatty foods and it
is making you feel upset, nausea, etc...then this may be your
problem. The bile ducts are in someway obstructed.

I highly recommend that you do not take any medications that
hasn't been approved or prescribed by your doctor, now.
And if you are not with a gastroenterologist...that you need to
be referred to one.

Best wishes

Need Help. Stomach pain, no health insurance, what do i do?

Sharp pains definitely should not be ignored, especially if they are happening often. My advice is to search for a free clinic in your area. There are free clinics in most cities. Be prepared to wait an hour or more to see the doctor though, but it is worth getting some help.
Until you can see a doctor, you can try using antacids like TUMS and see if that helps at all with the pain. If the pain mainly comes after eating, it could be bad heartburn. But still I would go to the doctor at a free clinic because it could be something as serious as a stomach ulcer (bleeding of the lining of the stomach).

Severe stomach/gas pain, need help?

BRAT actually stands for "bananas, rice, applesauce, toast". Anyway, it sounds like you are probably really constipated. If it is bothering you so much you should see a doctor - they can make sure it isn't something serious. Try taking a laxative and eating more fiber/drinking more water. Also, exercise will help.
