My mom called the cops on my boyfriend. HELP!?
For 6 month I have been going out with this guy named Eric. He smart handsome and the nicest guy you'll ever meet. The only thing is he's 10 years older than me. I'm 16 and he's 26. I knew my mom wouldn't like it, but I couldn't have her split us apart, so I told her I was spending the night at my friends or studying every time I would see him. Last night I snuck out of the house and he picked me up in his car. We were going to a party. He had a little to much to drink and when we were driving home he hit my neighbor's mailbox. Their stupid bull-dog came out and attacked us. Woke up my neighborhood including my parents. And now I'm grounded for 3 months and my mom called the cops on my boyfriend. I have no idea what's going to happen to him. I love him so much. Could somebody please give me some advise.
My dad called the cops on me?
I'm married and have an 11 month old daughter. When I need to run errands my dad watches her for an hour or two for two reasons: one being I don't have a "child friendly" car yet and two he's the only family I have. Well I suffer from depression, but I take Zoloft. As of late my dad and I haven't been getting along. Today I asked my dad if he could watch my daughter, and he said yes. In the interrum my husband and I got into a heated argument (no violence), and my husband told my dad about it. I don't know why he did, because its none of my dad's business and we're grown adults. When I went to go pick up my child, my dad said he didn't want to give her to me because of my depression and if I took her out of his house he'd call the police. Let me say this, I am NOT a violent person and have never harmed my child or thought about doing so. Well I took her home, and about 10 minutes later the police were knocking at my door. I was just taken back that my dad would actually do such a thing. I talked with the police, and of course nothing happened. They apologized for the inconvenience and left. Right now I'm so hurt that I wouldn't care if I ever saw him again. Any thoughts?
My mom almost called the police because she thought I was dead but I was sleeping?
I'm in shock right now because the craziest thing just happened. I was exhausted today from shoveling and being at my friends house, so I ended up sleeping at 6:30PM. My phone is horrible so it turns off randomly, so my phone was dead. The TV was on too so I didn't hear. Anyways my mom called me like 20 times, even on the homephone. She even had the neighbors knock on the door and I didn't wake up. She called my friends, my siblings etc and was freaking out. I woke up at 11:00PM and when I called her she was crying, and I saw all the missed calls and texts from people thinking something bad happened to me when I was just SLEEPING this whole time. (My mom is in a different state atm for a business trip) Has this ever happened to you? Or how would you feel in this situation. I just felt confused and just shocked that all of this happened while I was just sleeping cause I was exhausted and my phone sucks. I feel bad that my mom was so worried but it's a little dramatic Bleh :(
If your teenager calls you drunk in the middle of the night, would you go pick them up?
I can’t recall the time I had my parents drive me home after a night of drinking when I was 16. I can’t because I blacked out. I vaguely remember chugging two tall cans of beer, a pint of vodka, and a pint of purple passion. I then recall laying on the cement floor as my friend sat on top of me laughing. Last thing I remember is my father carrying me, with my arm around his shoulder, as I barely walked to his truck. I said, “Dad, I don’t….” and I barfed all over him.I had purple lips, and I couldn’t talk for a day, I had a hangover for two. What I do know though, is not only did I know I could call my parents, but my friends did in regards to getting a ride if I drank too much. I downed those drinks within one or two hours, and got alcohol poisoning. My friends didn’t know what to do (just knew I wasn’t looking good), but they didn’t freak out because they knew they could call my parents with no punishment because they called my parents.My father never said anything, although I learned my lesson quickly (drink in moderation) and couldn’t touch vodka again until my mid-20’s.I moved from that small town I grew up in a year later, and lived in a city 5 hours away since then. My parents decided on early retirement and I’m in my mid-thirties. They decided to rent a place in my city for a few years before their final destination of Florida for retirement. A year ago, at 2:30AM, I got a call.Dad: “Sooooooooon!” (yelled like that wassup commercial)Me: “Dad? What the fuck, what?” (Laughing).Dad: “Love you son.”Me: “I know Dad, but umm..is everything ok?”Dad: “I’m at this place with brick roads, and old timey buildings, brings me back when I was a kid.”Me: “Cool, yeah I know that street.”Dad: “Well, son, me and your mother have been drinking, and we don’t know were we are, but could you find us and give us a ride?”Me: “Sure, just chill on the sidewalk, and I’ll find you, the road is about a mile long so give me some time.”Dad: “Okay son, we’ll have one more drink first.”Me: “Okay, Dad.”So, just saying folks, what comes around goes around..or something like that, and it was the most annoying car ride ever with my parents (dad is a huge goof ball when drunk). But ya know what? I don’t want my dad thinking he can’t call me, I want him around for a good 20 more years, if I’m lucky.
Can my girlfriend's mom call the police on me?
Okay so my girlfriend's mom got mad at me because about four days ago me and my girlfriend went to the park for about three hours we were just talking because she has family problems anyways my girlfriend told her mom that she was going to go for a walk with me so she knew that her daughter was with me obviously! So anyways we talked for three hours and then I realized it was getting late it was 6:40 so I told my girlfriend that she should go home so she did, I stayed at the park for a while longer then I left home by the way me and my girlfriend live in the same apartment building so when I got home my brother was looking for me because my girlfriends mom was looking for her like crazy but she didn't find us, we weren't hiding! so anyways a while ago I saw my girlfriends mom and she said that she had a bone to pick with me and that she would talk to me tomorrow and if i would ever take her daughter like that again she would call the police on me! So she was practically telling me to not talk to her daughter anymore WHAT THE HELL?? (sorry for the profanity) My girlfriends mom had told me her self that she trusted me with her daughter! Can she actually call the police on me for that? If she would what would they do to me?? I'm fourteen and she's thirteen by the way. PLEASE someone answer!?! THANKS!
Should I call the police on my alcoholic father?
We have a family business which involves my dad driving around. He is an alcoholic but denys it constantly. I've caught him drinking in the morning so many times. He drinks through the day, topping himself up. We've tried talking to him , screaming at him, we've got him numbers for AA, made appointments at the doctors etc. He gives up for the odd day but shakes so violently that he gives in but will still deny he has had a drink. He lies too, obviously. We got a breathalyser in work but he refused to take it. He has been caught drink driving twice before so if he gets caught again its probably prison for him. So going back to my question. I'm absolutely petrified of him getting in the car and killing somone, I would be partly to blame coz I knew he was drinking and driving and I did nothing. So do I call the police and watch my dad go to prison? Or wait till he kills someone and he'd go to prison anyway. I just don't know what to do. Before you answer this please think very carefully and try to look at it from every angle. Thanks x
What did your parents do when they caught you smoking weed?
Haha okay this still makes me laugh!I'd been smoking weed since I was around 11. I was about 13 and while I was looking for sand paper for a school project, I stumbled across a random seemingly empty coffee can. Curious, I peaked inside and found a rolled up sandwhich bag with green stuff in it. I unrolled it to check out it's contents and found an 8th of weed! I was so excited because at the time I didn't have any. So I dipped in and took a good size nug and put it back before I got caught!!I continued to randomly take some here and there. Making sure I didn't take a noticeable amount, and rolled it up how I thought it was. I did this for a few months, thinking how sneaky and awesome it was…Well one day I ran out so I want into the garage as usual to dip into my parents stash can. But this time, the lid had in black bold sharpie: “Gotcha!!!” and the coffee can was completely empty. I was so scared, I want out the side door and went for a very long walk to think of what excuses I could give them. Nothing was really going to work. So I get back home an hour or 2 later, hoping things would just be left unsaid. NOPE. Haha they were in the living room waiting. My heart was racing, my mind about to explode thinking of my punishment. Starting blushing and sweating. Finally after what seemed like hours of silent parents staring me down, they finally said:“we always roll the bag up differently everyday so we figured you were taking some when the roll wasn't right… you need to ASK us next time. Can't stop you obviously from smoking, so instead of STEALING it from us just ask please.”I sighed a huge breath of relief. “Yes! I'm off the hook!” I thought.“Oh Megann, by the way, your also grounded for 3 months… “Damn… haha almost! They couldn't have been more mellow and nice about it. Surprised the hell out of me that's for sure! They could've done locked me up and thrown away the key for WAY longer then what I got, so that was pretty cool.The same scenario played out almost exactly the same when I got caught stealing their cigarettes too. Haha after I got a job at 16 my mom agreed to just buy me my own pack as long as I payed for them myself.
My mom got arrested!?
So last night around 9:30 my mom was drunk. Whenever she drinks she's super angry and is always trying to argue with someone. So, she kept telling me she was going to bed and not to leave the house. She said it about 6 times and it was getting on my nerves because she wasn't even saying it nicely, she was yelling it and saying things like "If I find out you left the house you'll be in trouble" and all this other stuff. I had a friend at my house too which is very embarrassing. So, finally I got fed up and we started arguing. She smacked me in the mouth and I pushed her away from me and went outside. My dad came out and tried to get her to go in her room and sleep but she wouldn't. So my dad came outside and told me to come back in so I did. Anyway, we kept arguing for awhile and she was telling me to call the cops on her and she wouldn't stop saying it. She must've said it a million times before I actually did. I know she was drunk and didn't know what she was talking about but still. So I called them and they came here. Awhile back my mom had to do 10 hours of community service (I don't remember what for) but she never did (there was a reason too, I can't remember that either) and so she had a court date last Wednesday that she never showed for, so she had a warrant out for her arrest and they locked her up for that last night. What do I do?! How long will they keep her for? My dad said she might be in there for up to 30 days. What will they do once she gets out? Can they put her in prison for a FTA? (Failure to appear) This is all my fault. I feel so bad.
