Diet has to begin in your head. And you already started to think about your nutrition. That's an important step. It is too easy just to make a magazine-diet for 2-3 weeks and loose some weight. But it will come back soon again. If you are over-thinking your nutrition and activity, you will have a constantly good result. Isn't that much better and healthier than a crash-diet ?

You do not need acai berry to help you lose weight OR to be healthy. The person posting that all over the place is just trying to make sales.

If you want to lose some weight, go for the good diet and exercise. These kinds of good habits will keep you trim for a lifetime. You need a balanced diet with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, alittle healthy fat (nut butters, avacado, olive oil, raw nuts), lean protein (fish, chicken, lean beef, low fat dairy, beans and lentils...whatever you like!) some whole grains. Make sure you eat enough that you have lots of energy. You should be aiming for 1-2 pounds of weight loss per week, I know that sounds slow, but this will increase your chances of keeping the weight off...trust me, crash diets usually lead to weight regain just as fast as you lost it and it upsets your system so much, we usually put MORE back on as well. Allow yourself a treat every once in a while so that you are on a healthy program you can follow for life. I like to have dessert once or twice a week to keep me happy!

Regular exercise. Something that will get your heartrate up for at least 30 minutes...running, brisk walking, dancing, bike riding - all good! Do some weight bearing exercise like weight training, power yoga, push ups, lunges, squats, sit ups - these things will give you nice shape and keep you strong.

I am not sure what you are expecting to get from Acai. It appears to be a great antioxidant. Some people claim it gives them more energy or that it boosts the immune system, etc. It is a fruit that is unlikely to have any danger, but it is a waste of money for weight loss.

The acai berry craze is filled with scams, especially on the internet. I would be very cautious about ordering free trials of acai. Do a search for "Acai Berry Scams" on google.

I am speaking from personal experience. I ordered a free trial of Acai Berry Power 500. On my next credit card, I noticed an extra charge of $29.95 from that acai company. I called them and they said I had agreed to a personal nutrition consultation for $29.95. To make a long story short, I had to threaten them with a lawsuit before they refunded that extra charge.

I also ordered Acai Berry Supreme. A few weeks later, I got another bottle in the mail, even though I never asked for it. I left the shipping box unopened and wrote on it: Return to Sender. Do Not Charge My Credit Card for This Product. Then I put the item back in a mailbox. I am worried about what my next credit card will say. I've heard of people being charged $89 for the next shipment.

One important final note: Usually on the very bottom of the website about the free trial, there is "Terms and Conditions" in tiny type. Click on that, and you will see info that you will be shipped more bottles unless you cancel in 15 days.

I don't know how it works with coping with cancer, but I can say that the Acai Berry really helped me with weight loss. I was able to lose 44 lbs in 90 days which definitely makes me feel a lot better.
