According To Conservatives Now Ted Cruz Doesn

How conservative is Ted Cruz?

The discrepancy between politicians' public image and actual record is astonishing. Despite claims to the contrary from uninformed political commentators, Ted Cruz is less "Conservative" than Marco Rubio and more ideologically consistent than any other candidate.Marco Rubio is more socially "Conservative," unequivocally refusing to support gay marriage and other social freedoms. Militarily, Marco Rubio is also further right-wing, advocating for an extremely large and aggressive military capable of reasserting US influence throughout the globe. With deep commitments to limited government, extensive individual liberty, and the protection state's rights, Ted Cruz is closer to Libertarianism than Conservatism. His major policy positions, a reflection of these core principles, are listed below:Gay marriage - states choose their own laws, something many legal experts agree upon.Taxes - flat tax at 15%Immigration - follow existing federal law and deport those who entered the nation illegallyAbortion - unborn children are still "life" and should not be killed for convenienceGovernment involvement - most federal functions are not constitutionally authorized, are harmful to growth, and comprise civil libertyMilitary - Having a strong military is important, but avoiding unnecessary fights is also important. Stopping ISIS and defending Israel are primary objectives.Executive order - unconstitutional and should be undone immediately. You might not agree with these positions, but surely you can see that these are far from "radical" or "right-wing extremist."

What does Ted Cruz do that makes him a creep, according to some people?

Ted is an ideologue in the sense that he has conservative values, values that stem from his Christian upbringing.  He has shown that he will stand firm in the face of opposition to his beliefs.  This stand for his Christian beliefs and thus  his stance that the constitution is based on those values and beliefs, bothers many people.  People who want the constitution changed or done away with perceive him to be against their plans to do away with the constitution and the Bill of Rights.  Mostly the Democratic Party, who want a socialist totalitarian government that they can control and have power over people.  Socialism in any form is a gross divide from the American Constitution.  Unfortunately , there are as many people who want to do away with the freedoms and rights that we have as there are people who want to keep the only form of government in the world that offers these God given rights.

What conservative media heads are endorsing Ted Cruz?

Well as we all know, talk radio host and head of the Blaze, Glenn Beck has formally endorsed Ted Cruz. Also Ted Cruz seems to have monopoly on all conservative radio hosts. Both Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin, have admitted that Ted is the most conservative candidate in the race. However Glenn Beck is the only one who has formally endorsed. It is very hard to get media heads to endorse anyone because it makes all of their audience who support a different candidate upset. This being said it is well know among the media that Ted Cruz is the most conservative. Here are some of the good things said about Ted Cruz in the media:Ted Cruz: The Only Candidate Who's Demonstrated Opposition to the Establishment  - The Rush Limbaugh Show STEVE DEACE: Rush Limbaugh is right: Ted Cruz is most-principled candidate Mark Levin: 'Ted Cruz Is the Most Consistently Conservative Candidate Running'

Why is Ted Cruz a good choice for conservatives?

To put it very simply, his record, both during his term as a US Senator and as a Texas Solicitor General, both speak to his conservatism. Additionally, most, if not all of his beliefs represent the conservative position. A good source is Conservative Reviews's Liberty Scorecards (used by Breitbart and other notable sites), which lists Cruz as one of the most conservative currently serving Congressmen. If you are referring to this current election, his only contender, Donald Trump (I'm sorry but Kasich has no actual path to a nomination), has no political record but a vast history of liberal statements and beliefs. A simple Google Search will bring up many examples.

Conservatives labeled Obama a monkey. What can Ted Cruz be likened to?

The business-end of a sheep after "farmers drink free" night.
" I seem to recall liberals calling Bush 43 shrub"
That never happened.

The President gets down with his African ancestors...

Yikes... is this the kind of guy we want funding conservative politicians?

The leader of a white supremacist group that influenced Dylann Roof, the suspect in the killing of nine African-Americans in a Charleston, S.C., church last week, has donated tens of thousands of dollars to Republican campaigns, including those of 2016 presidential contenders such as Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum and Rand Paul.

I'm not saying this guy should be legally prohibited from giving money to conservatives. I'm just saying conservatives may not want to associate with him.

Is Ted Cruz just a more conservative Donald Trump?

Well, let's see.Donald Trump...born to a millionaire.Ted Cruz...born to a Cuban refugee.Donald Trump...Mr. Popularity, natural leader in high school.Ted Cruz...memorized the Constitution and gave presentations on it to civic groups in high school.Donald Trump...exclusive business school.Ted Cruz...Ivy League law school.Donald Trump...started his first business with a million-dollar loan from his father.Ted Cruz...clerked for a Supreme Court Justice.Donald Trump...names everything after himself.Ted Cruz...named his campaign after himself.Donald Trump...used eminent domain to force a widow out of her home so that he could build a parking lot.Ted Cruz...argued 9 cases for the state of Texas before the Supreme Court.Donald Trump...hasn't worked for anyone else since he was in his early 20s.Ted Cruz...has worked for Goldman-Sachs.Donald Trump...married 3 times, divorced twice.Ted Cruz...still married to his first wife.Donald Trump...said he would date his daughter if she wasn't his daughter.Ted Cruz...read Dr. Suess to his daughters in the middle of a filibuster.Donald Trump...has his own TV show.Ted Cruz...appears on C-SPAN a lot.Donald Trump...never ran for office before.Ted Cruz...upset one of the most powerful Republicans in Texas to win a Senate seat.Donald Trump...has suggested he would commit war crimes.Ted Cruz...has suggested that all Presidential acts must conform to the Constitution.Donald Trump...has donated to Hillary Clinton and other Democrats.Ted Cruz...hasn't.Donald Trump...speeches are at the lowest grade reading level of Trump, Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich.Ted Cruz...speeches are at the highest grade reading level of the four.Donald Trump...campaign promises are notably vague.Ted Cruz...campaign promises are very detailed an specific.Donald Trump...support is from independents and (proportionally) less educated Republicans.Ted Cruz...support is from Tea Party (better educated Republicans despite the stereotype) and evangelical Republicans. So no, to answer your question, the differences between the two go deeper than just how much they espouse conservative principles.

Are you voting for Ted Cruz?

Definitely.

Why are conservatives against net neutrality, when net neutrality is what is going to keep the internet as it is now?

ISP's were wanting to create fast and slow lanes, which would have dramatically changed how the internet was. I just looked at Ted Cruz's facebook about net neutrality and seeing so many old people who have very little clue about what net neutrality is, being against it. Why do conservatives hate net neutrality? I know its a regulation, but its for the consumers and small businesses.
