How do I get a real sounding piano? (vsts)

Even though the VST instrument you choose does play a major role in how realistic your end product sounds, it isn't the only thing to consider. The performance (how you play the VST) and the mix (what effects you add to it) are arguably just as important. Here are a few tips to squeezing all you can out of any VSTi (not just limited to pianos):Think about how the instrument is actually played when writing the MIDI. Make sure your composition is playable. On piano, that means at most 4-5 notes at once (usually less), and generally divided into a cluster for each hand.Modulate the note velocity. Unless they are an absolute beginner, most players have some level of control and variety over how loud each note is. A quick and dirty method of achieving this is to just randomize it, but to really get it perfect, you should try to set the value for each note individually. (Note: Pianists tend to "lean" on certain sections of their performance, playing some parts louder/softer than they play others.)Get good reverb. You'd be surprised at how many VST instruments sound "great" almost solely because of the quality of their built in reverb. Adding realistic reverb to a track can be a bit touchy at first, but once you get it right, you'll notice the difference it makes. That's all I can think of right now. Hope it helps!

Does the bass guitar sound good when played alone?

Oh, I very much think so!If you like the sound of bass, then go for it :)A few of my solo bass heroes are: Michael Manring, Steve Lawson, Jeff Schmidt, Cody Wright, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Zander Zon… and many many more.Bass guitar is still a fairly young instrument. There is lots of room to create and innovate. Find your own sound, create your own thing, it is awesomely fun and rewarding. To make a bass sound great on its own it is helpful to keep in mind that due to its low frequencies more than one note played at the same time can sound muddy. To avoid thatspread out the way you “voice” the chord (knowledge of compound intervals and chord inversions comes in handy here. If you don’t know theory yet, think of it this way: if something sounds muddy, see if you can play one of the notes involved an octave higher). Also tinker with sound settings by boosting mids and highs and rolling off the low end.Sometimes bassists will string or tune their solo basses differently in oder to get to higher notes. One way to do that is to string them ADGC instead of EADG. Or detune them to what sounds good (and doesn’t break the string).Playing six string is great for solo bass because: you have the higher string and more options to spread out voicings due to having the extra strings.Technology is your ally. Here are a few of my favorite tools to give you ideas for solo bass adventures:delay pedalsloopersenvelope filtersthe POGmany more (it can be addictive)Her are a few of my pieces. How do I master a song with clear and loud sound in FL Studio?

First of all, one should be very clear about mastering the mix. It's not a single virtual knob to deal with. It's a huge concept, require lots of experience. I think, no one till now is the king of mastering, they can't even say themselves, the same.No one can teach you, how to master. It's a self learning process. You'll develop after each and every attempt, examining the sounds with the perfect gear (it's important).Mastering the mix is an art to give the perfect space to each elements, without losing it's significant frequencies, up to the maximum volume(gain) level. In the case of FL studio, inbuilt tools like Maximus (optimize towards the required frequencies), Soundgoodizer (makes sound crispier), Wavecandy (examining the inhead audio distribution & db level) etc. are mostly used.Well, the above mentions uses the basic audio equalization. It's direct and easiest way to do. But, when it comes to channel splitting (mono/ stereo), mechanical arrangements are required, or it can be performed virtually in FL studio. For, this it's mandatory to know about “Mid-side Processing”.What is Mid/Side Processing? In FL studio, Patcher is the ultimate tool to implement Mid-Side Processing. The above arrangements, which allows you to split the optimistized mono & stereo channel passing over Stereo Shaper & then through Fruity Parametric EQ 2, which creates the balanced output.Remember : All these operations are done only in master channel. These are some of the basic theory to do so, but remember again, there is no hard & fast rule for mastering. Everyone is learning by their mistakes. Using tools (vsts/plugins) effectively is also an art. Go! train your ears.

What's the best drum plugin?

I think the key is sorting out what type of music you want to make, and that will probably determine which of the following types of drum kits you should use. Multi-sampled drums give you the full spectrum of sound from a single kit, and the ability to get it to sound "realistic." Some examples of multi-sampled drums are Addictive Drums and EZ Drummer. Multi-sampled drum kits tend to have a similar generic sound, which means tweaking settings and effects is often necessary to bring some character into the sound.One-hit drum samples are simply drum hits taken from a song or grabbed from another kit. You then take these samples and create your own kit, using either your DAW's built-in drum options or a plugin like Battery or Maschine. One-hit drum kits are popular in hip hop and electronic music styles where "realism" is not an issue. That said, one-hit drum samples often benefit from additional delay, reverb, and EQ effects. If you plan to make realistic-sounding pop or rock, my suggestion would be to go with a multi-sampled drum kit. If you plan to make hip hop or electronic music, start with a kit of one-hit samples. Most DAWs come with both types of drums.

Can I use a MIDI to USB cable for my Roland HD-1 to connect to EZdrummer?

I bought a cheap midi to USB cable on ebay to hook up my Yamaha keyboard to my laptop to trigger EZdrummer and it works perfect. It was only like $4 or something. I'm sure it would work fine with your HD-1 as long as EZdrummer or Addictive drums has a map for it, which they probably do.

How do I do parallel compression in FL Studio?

Parallel compression in simple terms means blending a heavily compressed version of a track back into the main track. This is also called ‘New York’ compression (don’t ask me why).I do this a lot in my productions (especially vocals, drums and bass) because of the following:It makes the track PHAT and THICK. But you have to be sure you are not just increasing the volume. It helps me achieve louder volume without reducing my headroom. This allows me more room to master the track. It helps me retain the dynamics of the sound (not sounding too squashed) while compressing heavily. If I compressed directly on the track channel (mixer channel), the track will be over-compressed and sound squashed. So how to do parallel compression on FL studio. I am using FL 12.3. Now, here is a little secret: many compressor plugins already have a mix knob built in. So you do not need a separate track all you need is to smash the hell out of the track in the compressor settings, then use the mix knob to add only a little. See what I did here with the Softube FET compressor (my favorite parallel compressor):Note that the attack and release times are at their fastest and the ratio is very high (about 20:1). But I have adjusted the ‘parallel inject’ knob (just next to the output) to ensure I am not overcompressing the 808 track.Look at the same thing with Fabfilter Pro C:Same principle: fast attack and release times (note that you can change these to fast attack, slow release or slow attack and fast release but the fast times work best for smashing the track). You can see from the graph on the Fabfilter Pro C that we are really smashing it but I have adjusted the dry mix button to reduce the compression effect on the track. You can also do it on FL studio by routing to a separate track but I found this can be problematic especially as Fl tracks are all stereo and when you load a mono plugin, there can be issues. There is also a problem with plugin delay. When I use Cubase or Logic Pro, I set up a separate buss and load the compressor there and smash it and then blend in the buss to the main track to taste.

What are some good tips for maintaining my bike Apache RTR 160?

Hi,first bike was rtr 160. All of these based on personal experiences.few tipsalways idle the bike for 30 seconds in the morning. Kickstart in the mornings. This will make the engine two times more smoother, try it out.Never delay oil change. In your intervals of 2500, 3500 or 5000( depends on the oil you use, always replace oil when its time is up. This will save you clutch plate changes and other costs.dont force gear shifts, always pull the clutch fully before shifting, i see a lot of guys using half clutch which can screw up things.rear tire is thinnest in all 150 cc bikes, hence always break in dots. specially during sudden braking, this will avoid the back tire skidding due to disc brake lockin. Use both brakes gradually.Careful with the engine kill switch, handle it with care, it tends to break easily after 1 to 1.5 years of use.used 3–4 local mechanics, but official tvs service fellows always do the best job, always stick to the official service guys.thats about it ,cheers
