Adopting Animals Symbolically

What kind of animals would be good to use to symbolize Hitler and the Jews for my Holocaust project?

Well. Hitler could be represented as a an Eagle, the German symbolic animal (Similar to the american eagle mascot) as seen here
http://www.offensivestuff.com/wordpress/...

or you could represent Hitler as a wolf. Hitler often referred to himself as a wolf, partly as a joke on his first name, Adolf, which means noble wolf in old german. His highest officers were only allowed to refer to him by his self adopted nickname. He also used it as a codename for bases and things.

The Jews I would obviously represent as some sort of smaller prey species. There is a famous Graphic Biography by the son of a Jewish man who suffered through the holocaust called "Maus" that represents the Germans as Cats and the Jews as Mice, taken from the German view of the jews as "Vermin"; as well as representing their ingenuity.

This sounds like a really interesting project. Good luck with it! cheers.

What does it mean to adopt an animal from WWF?

You should visit the WWF website where you can find all of the details to the questions you ask.

In general, it means that you are symbolically adopting the animal. No, you do not get to physically keep it. I believe they have several different adoption options from one time to an ongoing sponsorship. The benefits will vary so again I recommend you visit the website.

No, you do not get to name it. You are not usually adopting a specific animal, either. It is just symbolic and your donation goes toward all of their programs.

Updates can sometimes be given for specific cases, and if you do you would be on their newsletter and get mail from them.
