After completing traffic school in California what do i do next?
I got a citation and was found guilty in court. I requested traffic school and completed the course online (from a DMV approved website) i got my certificate in email but now im wondering if there is anything i need to do further. I know that the traffic school automatically sends the papers to the DMV but do i need to take anything to the court house? Im in the Los Angeles county Glendale superior court house.

You are correct and Ronald is wrong. What was eliminated was the ability to hide a second citation WITHIN 18 MONTHS with traffic school. When you go to traffic school you are convicted, but the conviction is confidential. My reading of Vehicle 1808.7 is that the 18-month period is conviction to conviction. The date of conviction will be on or close to the date the court got your traffic school completion--and that will be the same date for the new citation as well. So if you completed traffic school in April, 2011, any conviction which occurs after October 2012 will be confidential. That would mean that you need to complete traffic school next month, and I am not sure you are going to be able to delay things that long. However, this is just my interpretation of the statute. You probably want to check with DMV to be sure. I am afraid that the 30 minutes is necessary, but maybe you'll get good news and I am wrong.

ok I got a speeding ticket which I need to pay next week. I got the letter if the skinny owe. and if I wanted traffic school. it is 67 more. but I looked online and there's some online traffic schools for 13 $. can you even do that our are there not real. can I only use the one that the court offers. it's pretty expensive. any advice. it Joe to do this. do I still have to request it. or what to do

I plan on completing my Traffic School online after getting a speeding ticket not that long ago. I heard that according to the California DMV, Traffic School classes must be 340 minutes long (5 hours & 40 minutes). If I happen to finish early is that perfectly fine or do I really have to leave the browser page of my computer logged in for a total of 5 hours & 40 minutes for it to count? I heard a lot of people say that they finished their online Traffic School courses in just a couple of hours, so I'm wondering if the DMV or courts actually have some way of checking to make sure you didn't finish early. So the court phone number is horrible. I wasn't able to talk to a representative, only a machine so I couldn't find an answer. So I got a speeding ticket, but I want to do traffic school.
