In photo synethseis carbon dioxide comes in through the leaves. It exciteds the electron transport chain and electrons get moved to get stimulated in photolysis. The Carbon is then stored in the chlorophyll until it is needed for respiration. In respiration the chlorophyll transfers the carbon out and into the stigmas. Which then transfres to leaves and then it comes out. However, it is different for C-3 and C4 plants.
