Agree Or Disagree No Matter How Old We Are We Always Need Someone To Be There For Us And Support

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People are never satisfied with what they have; they always want something more or something different. Use specific reasons to support your answer.

It is true that people are never satisfied what they are having and they want something new or something different always. There are always positive and negative side of this desire. Sometime it’s a disease or curse and sometime it’s a blessing for us. We can see some of the instances. So far as technology development of this mankind is concerned, the innovations that happened in different sector are due to the desire of having something new and different. From the ancient days this basic instinct was there in mankind. People have invented one after another technology so that can lead them to a more comfortable life.So far as the strong desire for money and wealth is concerned, we can clearly see there is a negative impact of that basic instinct. The more people run after money and wealth, the more they are in an unhealthy competition with each other. This desire of more money and wealth makes us envious at our peers, neighbours, or sometime even our blood relations. So far as the educational growth and thirst for more and more knowledge is concerned, it is really a blessing for us. This basic instinct of remaining ever dissatisfied with the existing level of knowledge pushes us forward to understand physics behind every phenomenon occurring in this world. Every time it helps us getting one step closer towards the convergence for the exact solution to a particular problem. If we talk about the attitude of conquering anything, we have seen in the history that the barbaric wars took place due to this never satisfying mentality. Kings have expanded their kingdoms endlessly sometime without any valid reasons, but only for the basic instinct.Still there are many more examples are there like the urge of getting closer and closer to God, which depicts that mankind will be always dissatisfied with what they have at present.

"Christians should always forgive no matter what they have done."?

Hi. I need to do an assessment on forgiveness and I need some help please :)

I need to say if I agree or disagree. I have to give two reasons for my answer and I must include reference to religious belief in my answer. Basically, my teacher has told me to do for, against, religious views and my views. I am struggling to find statements against forgiveness.
So far, I have got:
1. Some people believe that forgiving someone equals to admitting that what they had done to you was okay.
2. Forgiving someone might be difficult in cases of betrayal or extreme crime, such as murder.

Please help me to find a third point against forgiveness - AND IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A RELIGIOUS ANSWER. AND SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO WHAT I ALREADY HAVE PLEASE.

Thank you

- John :D

Do you agree or disagree with poeple should always be polite,no matter what the situation?

I disagree. In some situations it is necessary to be a little rude. I find that when I'm having problems with over the phone telephone support that the entry level person is there to tell you 'no' no matter what. Usually I need to get a little animated with them or their supervisor to get my way. Just the way it has to be sometimes.

"freedom is unattainable" agree or disagree?

You're right in that freedom in a traditional sense is virtually unattainable in this day and age but at the end of the day you're as free as you allow yourself to be in your own head.

Humanity as a series of individuals views the world through different layers of perception that differ depending on the viewer, if that makes sense. For example one person will probably feel that we're freer now than we've ever been in our entire history whereas another will bemoan their situation and will feel that humanity as a race has doomed itself from day one despite them both living on the same planet with the same political climate - and the thing is they're free to make those distinctions.

I personally feel that "freedom" on an individual scale (IMO, the one that matters) can be attained by putting stock in the things that matter to you personally and the things that you choose in life, whether that's friends and family, your job or your studies, ect. No government or regime can take away your freedom to think for yourself and to make decisions based on those thoughts, no matter how Orwellian the politicians in question may be.

Hope that's clear enough for you to take something out of :P.

My parents are not agreeing to my intercaste marriage. What can I do?

Isn't it great when someone else feels your pain? I personally know at least half a dozen couples who are/were in similar relationship as you. I'll suggest them the same which I advised them.Tell your parents openly that if you love someone else, it doesn't mean that you love them less. They've taught you the meaning of love and passion. How can loving be bad if you learnt if from them?Society will always say something or the other. Even if I marry a girl of your choice, someone will be saying one thing or the other. If you don't agree to me marrying this girl/boy, I won't. I respect your decision and truly believe that you have my goodwill at heart. But in that case, please understand with clarity that I won't marry anyone else. I won't be able to commit or justify my relationship with anyone else and there is no reason why they should be cheated out of an honest relationship. My culture and my religion starts and ends with you. Never have you taught me discrimination. Then why do you think that her caste is more important than what she actually is? Do you mean to say that just because of my caste, I am inferior or superior to someone? These points of debates should be carried out with utmost calm mind, I'll suggest when you are having intricate discussions with your parents.

How do soldiers stay motivated?

Well, for starters I'm still getting paid, no sense in worrying about something that hasn't happened yet, if it happens at all, which is doubtful. My family hasn't forgotten about me and I'm looking at my wife right now, so I'm not divorced. If I got divorced, it would be her loss anyway, but I'd wish her luck anyway. I don't want someone that doesn't want me. Here's a newsflash: A majority of Military spouses support their husbands (or wives) 110%, I have two nice cars, a nice house and a great job too (We get to shoot back, it's awesome). The people back home can support us or not, it doesn't matter to us, Soldiers support each other and we don't need spineless, whiny civillians supporting us when they can't even stand up for themselves. You can keep that kind of "support". As for the media, When did they become the subject matter experts on the war? The answer is never. I'd listen the the men and women that live it everyday before some journalist who has never been to Iraq or if they have it was just for a quick story and back to the states. That 19 or 20 year old Infantryman knows more about the war than any journalist or civillian, period. As for the innocent women and children being killed everyday for no reason at all, There's a reason for everything and the reason is that Islamic extremists have used them as a political tool to drum up negative opinions such as yours. In other words the Extremists purposely target the civillians.

What makes someone Patriotic?

I don't think that's something that can really be defined. I don't support the war in Iraq either, but my dad has been 3 times, so I'm not going to hold it against him. It's his job, and I have to deal with that. I hope that the troops stay safe and return home though.

Although, sometimes it does seem like a double standard. America is a free country. We have the freedom to believe in what we want, yet we have the obligation that some people force on us to support everything our leaders chose, whether we believe in it or not.

I don't think you unpatriotic at all. You said so yourself, you love your country. For example, when you were a child your parents taught you their beliefs and taught you morals. but when you grow up, your beliefs change. You no longer believe in what your parents teach you, and you might even rebel against them. That doesn't mean you don't respect your parents anymore, it just means you disagree, and choose to do your own thing. I personally am sick of all the people calling me out about how unpatriotic I am and how I don't care about the people who died for me just because I don't support the war. Because let's be honest, America hasn't always been the good guy and the perfect nation.

Remember George W. Bush in 2001?

In his 2001 inaugural address, President George W. Bush commented that America had gone out into the world to protect, not to possess; and to defend, not to conquer. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? consider examples of American expansionism in the late 1890's.
