What are you doing on St. Patrick's Day?

This year it fell on a Saturday, and Saturdays are always busy here at the Bates house. So busy that I write a schedule and “to do” list every Saturday morning, for all the family to see.On this particular St. Patrick’s Day, we had an Orthodontics appointment for one kid, a ballet recital for one kid, and a basketball game for one kid. We also had an appointment to meet with our financial advisor, did our weekly Costco run, took the dog to the dog park, cleaned out the cars, cleaned up the house, did the laundry, and I graded some papers.That was all done by dinner time. Dinner was Chinese take-out, and we had family Chinese take-out and movie night. We bought The Last Jedi and watched it as a family. It was the first time I’d seen it. I kind of wish I saw it in the theater now… some of the special effects would have been even better on a huge screen.
